Rooney couldn't pass a stool after a vindaloo.

Cahill is literally our only good defender.

Sturridge, Sterling and Welbeck really giving us some hope, love their youthful undaunted enthusiasm and skill ..... it's Rooney that's the weak link atm.

That is until he scores a goal.

England poor so far. Even though we lost, we played better against Italy.

That was a better team move there that resulted in the Sturridge blocked shot. All the attacking threats were involved.

England fall into the old habit of giving away cheap possession after being impressive against Italy.

I was positive after Italy but really looks like we're playing for a draw. Not chasing down, not getting in the box, passing to Hart and around the back 4...

Suarez there.

England played at a noticeably higher tempo against Italy than we are at present.

All four of England's defenders are pretty experienced.

I doubt we'll be playing for a draw. We really need a win here.

I just think our defence should lump it, instead of playing it out the back, any time the ball is in our half i am panicking

Question. At half time Roy will tell them to play better and they will.

Why can't Roy tell them to play good just before kick off of the first half?

I must be the only one who thinks England have played well. Far better than they were at the last WC.

Uruguay have upped their game and Suarez makes a big difference, hopefully he will get injured soon.

Uruguay are well organised.
Going to be hard to break down.

We aren't even a quarter of the way through the match. Why would they go for broke now?

They have played well ...... at least in the game against Italy I felt confident rather than the usual hopeful which ultimately ends in disappointment!
