If we don't plug those gaps in defence we will concede goals.

Against Italy we had nothing to lose. Tonight we need to win and, after Uruguay's performance against Costa Rica, people expect us to win. That is probably playing a part.

England lacking any kind of tempo at the moment.

This is the most exciting going forward we have been for many years, unfortunately it is also the weakest we have been in defence for many years.

First thing Roy said in an interview yesterday "A draw would be fine" (paraphrasing of course but it was something like that.

This seems a more traditional type England performance so far

I'd take a last minute winner from England.

I would fear a hyped up Uruguay going for a win in the last 30 minutes.

Four points could get England through the group on goal difference. A draw isn't great but not a disaster.

At the end of the day, if you concede goals and don't score, you're not going to win the match.

Carry on playing like this and we're out.
Too sloppy.
We need to wake up and fast.

Uruguay are taking the ball off us far too easily

The England players are literally sleepwalking at the moment.

It seems at any possible time we're wasting time! Taking so long to take throwings and pointless passing.

How many times have we been bossed out of possession so far?

A free kick was given for THAT?!

Uruguay playing long ball, bit surprised by that playing to Cahill and Jagielka's strengths. Into feet would be much more dangerous for them.

"Dwaw" more like.

Uruguay are working so much harder than us. Cavani is spending most of his time in their half closing down.

Key word being 'could'. Not good enough for me. I know we could still not get through if we win both games, but it's far more likely than if we draw here. If England's tactics were to play for a draw (which I don't think they are), they don't deserve it if you ask me.

Cavani needs to step up, rated so highly, but not a great tournament as of yet.
