We are out of the world cup, just like Spain. Oh well, no surprises there. (I can't see Italy winning both matches)

A world class finisher who had his task made slightly easier by mistakes and poor defending, Adrian.

Part of me almost wants Costa Rica to secure a result against Italy so our fate isn't dragged out any longer than is necessary, to be honest.

That second half was as bad as 2010, i thought we supposed to be playing with belief, with excitement going forward, but no,,,its the same old same old crap. That was awful

Suarez looks really happy; really chuffed that someone can recover so well from a serious injury

Why, he simply exposed the failings in the England defence that most people knew were there when the squad was picked.

Bunch of pathetic losers, another tournament where we completely embarrass ourselves.

England need someone to win in the game between Italy and Costa Rica now.

I think Gerrard is finished at international level now.

Need Italy to beat Costa Rica and Urugay, but in truth they didn't look any great shakes against England, it's just that England are... you know.

Italy, fair enough we were unlucky we deserved a draw. Today we were shit. Johnson horrific in particular.
Rooney was actually one of our better players. I like Hodgson and I have faith but until the 86th minute he tried the EXACT SAME tactics, even the same subs even when it was clear it wasn't working in the first half.

I bet we go the whole hog and lose to Costa Rica as well now
