I've never seen him there and I'm a United fan.

I don't what England fans are worrying about tonight. This World Cup is following a very familiar pattern. They start with a defeat, improve in the next two games to qualify, get an easy last 16 game (although perhaps not if it's Colombia) and then out on pens in the quarters.
Deja vu?

Why shouldn't the commentators ve openly cheering England? Most foreign commentators are far more jingolistic than ours our!

Not in overall terms it's not.

Exactly!!!

They're broadcasting to a home audience so naturally they'll be cheering them on a bit. As long as they don't get to biased regarding decisions etc then I don't see the problem with it.

Roy states that his decision to put sterling in a central position was so that he could keep Pirlo quiet in the Italy game. I am not too sure i believe this.

Is rooney undroppable, because of sponsorship / deals?

It wouldn't be an England team if there weren't players being played out of position.

C'mon England !!!

Really hope that a certain Uruguayan striker doesn't do a handball like he did against Ghana. As that would really be awkward next season.

I've got a big flag out I'm being confident...if it goes wrong I'll sneak it in when it goes dark

Has every pundit predicted an England win? Is that a good thing? So much optimism!

So Rooney has thrown his toys out of the pram, showed his hatred of being on the left wing, so Uncle Roy gives little Wayne what he wants, and he will probably start in the centre with the number 9 shirt.

He now HAS to deliver, score goals and England must win. If they don't should we blame Wayne who always seems to flatter to deceive when he plays for England.

No team is a one man band, but how long do we have to wait for Rooney to show any International class for his country?

I've not been watching the ITV pre-amble  so if the team has been announced I have not heard it!!

The great thing is I feel no pressure tonight.

I have no expectations that we will win so it's a bit of a non event.

Only thing that could wind me up is these ridiculous platitudes from the players.

Pleased to see Alan Hansen turn out for the BBC ........ where has he been?

As for the ITV lot, it's pedestrian at best and dire at worst. Chiles and Co just bore me silly, and they have the audacity to have a whole hour pre-amble to the game. The BBC with their quality only give us the half hour!

No, that didn't happen in 2010, or 2006 for that matter, nor 2002 ...

If it all goes mammaries skywards, I'm blaming SSN and their days at the zoo watching 'psychic' lions. One predicted England over Italy and today they had a lioness predict England again...
