The one place I think Brazil seriously lack is through the middle of the attack. Fred and Jo are hardly top class strikers.

This match has a real cup match feel.

Btw, is it worth listening to the radio commentary instead of the TV?

Neymar is known to over exaggerate, even when fouled he makes it look cringeworthy.

Still think it's weird brazil on their second game whilst two teams have still to play their first
European TV companies probably. Brazil at prime time is better than Russia v S. Korea.

Yes, kind Sir, I have.

But I've only ever seen a particular player being booed for whatever reason. Never constant booing every time the opposition gets the ball.

Dunno, maybe I haven't watched enough football matches?
Happens a lot. Especially in heated rivalries. It's bigger on the continent than in England I think but look at Arsenal's away game at Napoli last year. They were met with deafening boos and whistles with every touch.

Hardly an insurmountable issue. I'd rather see the ref in an alternate kit than one of the teams.
I didn't say it was. I was just saying I assume the ref is the reason for red Mexico.

Why are Radio 1 doing an incredibly banal commentary?

The reason for the kit change is that "brightness" is also a factor.

One kit has to be light, one has to be dark. I suppose it's for monochrome TVs which must still exist apparently...

So Green would perhaps be similar to Yellow on a B&W TV set.

I don't think so, refs kits are not sacrosanct, they are the last thing chosen after the teams kits have been assigned. According to various journos on Twitter it's because FIFA makes every team designate a 'light' kit and a 'dark' kit. So because Brazil are the designated home team they have their first choice kit, yellow, a 'light' kit. Which means Mexico have to go with their 'dark' kit, the red one.

I AM da yoot and I wouldn't want to hear that crap. I doubt anyone who cares about football would.

Alves should have been booked.

Looking at the Mexican fans in the crowd their green tops look dark to me. They're hardly light, anyway.

It's almost as if the Brazillians have been taught to fall by parachutists, the number of rolls they do.

Central and South America would probably still have a lot of black and white televisions

I doubt the Mexicans are much different

I hope this Brazil team don't go on to win the cup. They're not a great watch compared to other teams, let alone previous Brazil sides.

Mexico clearly looking to invite Brazil on to them and hit them on the counter. They have the pace to do it but they've looked a little sloppy in possession.

Brazil have not impressed me of the leading contenders so far.

I expect a soft decision in their favour if they are making hard work of it

I can't say I've noticed them competing in the roll department yet.

Fair play to Mexico, they (and their fans) are giving this a go.
