Fabio Capello will be hoping he can reach at least the QFs with Russia, as he did with England in 2010.

As for South Korea, this is their eighth consecutive appearance at the world cup finals.

Enjoy the match!

Thanks I will, looking forward to watching this in 22 and a half hours time. Congratulations with the thread, spot on.

Russia will get booed because of the politics, the crowd will get behind Korea, not sure how either team is playing so hard to call but it's pretty much a knock out match with one of these teams likely to take 2nd place to Belgium in this group

Evens for Russia to win seems good odds to me

Also, England didn't reach the quarter finals in 2010.

For political reasons I want South Korea to win this one.

Don't care about politics when it comes to football. North Korea didn't get any stick at the last World Cup from the locals as far as I remember, the players have nothing to do with the government policies.

I'm half Ukrainian, so it's personal.

I hope Ki starts and is really impressive so someone will buy him, forgot he played for us was quite disappointed when I remembered.

Russia won't either. If they come second in the group to Belgium, they are meeting Germany in the next round. Russia's journey will end there.

Definitely a group to avoid finishing second then.

Korea played a blinder against Germany in USA 94, though they lost 3-2 it was an impressive display.

Fancy a comfortable Russian win in this one.

I'm looking forward to hearing the Russian anthem. I've recently discovered how awesome it is and it'll make up for missing out on La Marseillaise last week.

In Soviet Russia, World Cup wins you.

I must admit I haven't seen them play in awhile, but as far as I remember, Russia is really shite at football.

Two goalless draws in the last 4 matches, I need a goal-fest before lights out tonight. Take note Russia and South Korea.

Neil Lennon is getting the potentially dud games, isn't he? First, Iran vs Nigeria and now this.

Don't worry, I can see this having a 3-2 scoreline. Possibly in SK's favour.

Really like South Korea, want to see them do well in this tournament. Hopefully they'll get off to a winning start here.
