Is one of the players really called 'Jurkoff' or am I imagining it??
His full name is actually Your a jerkoff! (or Yuri Zhirkov).

There's a few Bums on show for the Koreans too.

Part of me hopes Russia win this group to set up a potential match against the USA.

Yes, that would be interesting. I remember when USA played Iran at world cup '98.

They must be watching this at near 4am in Russia.

They well got shafted in the TV stakes by Brazil taking the earlier slot.

They'll get even in 4 years time.

At least it seems to be peaceful in Brazil tonight with no major riots.
How hot is it wherever this match is being held tonight. No matches have had the 3 minute water breaks yet I don't think.

There's some tidy football being played but neither side offering much in the final third.

Yikes, imagine the favourable refereeing decisions Russia will get in 2018, especially if Putin is still President and at their games!

Attention all planes in the vicinity of Cuiaba, watch out for incoming footballs.

Capello looks a bit like Jeremy Clarkson if you squint really hard. So that's Scolari (Gene Hackman), Mexico boss (John Goodman) and now Clarkson.

I can't see Shatov making it in our country.

The astronauts in the ISS uploaded a photo of them watching the football earlier. They should upload a new one soon of the ball flying past the window.

Algeria might fancy their chances against both of these.

Both teams playing as if they are already 2-0 up, no urgency and majority of passes are going backwards.

Poor half of football.
