They're lacking a classic centre forward of real class like Ronaldo or Romario. On the other hand, have they ever had a better defence? I remember the odd class defender like Aldair and Lucio but can't remember them ever having such a strong back four at the same time. I'm a Fernandinho fan too and I'd start him in midfield ahead of Paulinho. I also think Oscar might find his place under threat soon, possibly from his club-mate or Hulk.

Yeah, I thought he faded out the last game and looked knackered by the end (unless I confused him him with another similar looking player). I can see Scolari rotating Oscar and probably Bernard out for a game (ok, he came off the bench today but I think he played last game so he might rest next one) and probably giving most of his squad game time with only Neymar playing every game as well as the back 5 and everyone else rotating. Gustavo might stay in too. That's just my guess on how things might go. Totally serious.

They would have had Cafu and Roberto Carlos as the full-backs at the same time Aldair was there, but there always seemed to be somebody a bit dodgy alongside Aldair like Junior Baiano or Roque Junior, so I think this World Cup is the only time where every one of the back four is strong.

However, there are a couple of negatives for me.
1 - Such a medicore Brazilian team lacking in style and flair. Without Neymar, they'd have no chance at all!
2 - The small numbers of European supporters. I thought a World Cup in Brazil would have seen large numbers going over.”

The Brazilians did hike up the prices in a big way though and the negative publicity about that probably put a lot of people off.
