Should be 2-1 to the Aussies. Fantastic chance wasted.

Oooh that was a great chance squandered.

Two chances for the Aussies in as many minutes!

And another huge chance for the Aussies, they will live to regret missing these.

The Aussies are really stepping up here, how many expected that?

Oz could be 2 in front here, similar to Chile match though, they really must put their chances away.

The Dutch defence is such that they have no chance in this tournament.

The Dutch defence is such that they have no chance of winning this thing.

The quality and timing of Cahills goal has really knocked the Neths

Aussies better team so far, will probably regret missing these chances though.

2002 was the first one that I was old enough to properly engage with and while it captivated me, this one has been even better. Everyone will probably hold the first one as close to their favourite I suppose.

I think the last time a WC was this exciting was '90 and '86 was a great year. Beyond that I'm not old enough to remember

This is so good because it's ridiculously unpredictable and open. This is not the match I expected to see and it's no worse for it

Best World Cup I've fully watched so far, only since 1998 though.

This only match number 18 out of 64, can we wait till the tournaments over first?

I thought '90 was universally recognised as one of the dullest World Cups ever (England's great run notwithstanding). It was so bad that it provoked various rule changes to promote more attacking play.

Some of you are making me feel old. '82 was my first WC. My favourite being '86, but '82 and '90 are up there, too. Long way to go in this one but it's certainly started off brilliantly.

I think it's all relative, based on personal experiences. There's no one year everyone will agree on

Cahill might have a great strike in him but he's also a dirty sod, that was a really poor challenge.

the only thing that kept me watching in 90 was englands progress.

As it was written, in the ancient texts.

We had an amazing team, nobody can ever forget Gazza's tears

Cameroon were my secret favourites that year with Roger Milla's wiggle
