It was impressive, after Spain's disappointing World Cup the last thing we need is another World Cup finalist getting off to a poor start.

African teams have been shite so far at this world cup, here's hoping Ivory Coast make a game of it.

That ball reminded me of my days playing Subbuteo!

Didn't see Colombia's first game, didn't know Falcao was injured, did he get injured in their first match or was he already out?

Lovely bit of play there, shame the final ball was poor.

Mark Lawrenson talking about a TV pundit becoming a manager (In this case the Ivory Coast manager) "he saw the light then".

Well Mark you can always take your expenses paid holiday talking about football and leave. Miserable bastard.

He was injured back at the beginning of the year, but wasn't fit in time.

He was hanging round the squad for their first game and looked delighted at how they did which was lovely.

No red button for this game so we have to put up with Mark Lawrensons inane rumblings instead they've got crappy tennis on.

The atmosphere being generated by the Colombian fans here is fantastic. Almost deafening.

It wasn't strange, it was a great powerful moment in this world cup, and Brazil aren't the only nation who have done it either. Going to war?! What's this guy on, seriously?

"He was trying to escape"

If Mark Lawrenson doesn't make you laugh, we could never be friends in real life

Matter of time before Colombia score.

20th-25th minute is usually when the first goal is scored. Time for Colombia to step up.

He had a go at defensive coach for Newcastle back in the days where they were the Entertainers.

Not sure which role he's worse at

Love the way the ref ignores Yaya toure falling down 3 seconds after he loses the ball for no reason. Then as yaya makes and effort to hobble past the ref to make a point the ref just blanks him.

To right stop play acting get on with the game Yaya !!!

A lot of energy and intent but both sides disappointing in the final third so far.
