Did anyone else like the scenes in the vic tonight? EE
Did anyone else enjoy watching the Queen Vic scenes tonight involving the older cast members when Cora and Stan were gossiping and Dot was laying down the law? It was quite refreshing that the oldies including Dot, Cora, Stan, Patrick, Pam and Les were used quite heavily tonight and I think this is what the show has been missing these last few years. A balance of actors throughout the show. Tonights episode felt like a pre 2006 episode when the show used to feature the older characters quite frequently. Also does anyone know if Laila Morse has been reinstated as a regular? She seems to have been used a lot this year. Much more than last year.

Yes, it was great, it just needed Pauline, Jim and Pat.

I like Cora and Stan but Ethel was the ultimate 'oldie' IMO.

It was very old school EastEnders. I always loved seeing the reactions of other characters when something happened. The reactions were realistic too with the story being spun out until it became something fictional. I was dreading the Linda reveal of Johnny's actions but it was handled a lot better than I expected. She did it to stand up for Johnny and not to shame him which I thought would happen.
The older cast is much improved. I do miss the likes of Pauline, Pat and Ethel though. |

They were really good.
I love we are seeing more reaction to events and characters aren't just in there little bubble. Stan's line about immigrants being involved made me laugh |
