What a fool.....Woy letting slip last night that he was playing for a draw
There was an interview with him two days ago with ITV, the first thing out of his mouth? "We dont necessarily need to win".

It was clear from minute 1 yesterday that we set up to draw. We never commited enough men in the box to make any of the wing play worthwhile. Whilst I keep trying to defend Roy I continue to really doubt the way the match was approached last night. Wrong from every angle that wasn't helped by half arsed performances by about 6 of the players.

Should never have been appointed in the first place.

Dyke the muppet should have been sacked the same day he made his pathetic throat-slash gesture.

Pathetic individual.

We could not only finish bottom but have 0 points making it our worst set of results in WC history. Sack the dinosaur to make a mark that this isn't acceptable.

Lol internet - England lose two very tight games vs two higher ranked teams becuase of some schoolboy defensive errors so Roy must be sacked.

Eyeroll.

According to Gary Lineker he is part of a "long term strategy" by the FA to improve the England squad.

As it's the worst we have done since 1958 I'm not sure what the rest of the plan entails .

According to Dyke, Roy is on a "four year cycle".......

Yep, shame instead of cycling, he should try to manage the England team.....

Indeed. all the familiar calls for more passion too. As if headless chicken style ever worked well before. What no one seems to be mentioning is some key midfield players we were missing for these two games:

Theo Walcott
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
Andros Townsend

Any one of them would have made for a more balanced team. The only mistake Hodgson made was in playing four specialist attackers and only two specialist midfield players to start with. 4-3-3 might have been better. When Lallana and Barkley came on the midfield improved. Lallana is the left sided midfield player England have been seeking for decades and we under utilised him. The four front players are very talented but they won't break down a well organised defence by themselves. Against Italy, in a more open game, they looked better. The lack of wide midfield cover for the full backs increased the defensive frailty.

The lack of a decent central defensive pairing was not Hodgson's fault. Terry has been ruled out for ages and quite rightly was not invited back, no matter how good he still is. Dawson has been injured. Jagielka isn't the best but he's really all we've got to play alongside Cahill.

Let's not forget. Had the referee sent off Gadon in the first half last night, as he should have done, we would have been looking forward to the Costa Rica game with hope.

It's all your own fault, every gambler must realise this.

If it's any consolation though, I scored big on a Benzema/3-0 scorecast for the Honduras game. Feel better?

No-one sets up for a draw.. you have to have some balance though.

Roy Hodgson inherited an aladin's cave worth of treasure so to speak and despite me knowing he's a shit manager, I thought top class players like Gerrard, Rooney, Sturridge and Sterling would be enough to offset his shittyness. I was wrong and I'm paying the price! I really need Germany and Argentina to bail me out tomorrow or I'm in trouble
