I have taken the vows of the Night Crew. Have you?

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until Full Time, I shall take no wife, hold no lands, have no sexy time until Full Time. I shall wear no bed clothes and win no glory on PS4 or Xbox.

I shall live and die at my post in front of the telly. I am the football fan in the darkness. I am the watcher on sofa. I pledge my life and honor to the Night Crew for this night and all the nights to come while football is on in the Night.

We should have done that a week a go. All got Night Crew tattoos, too.

Nice effort from Osako.

One them really need a win to draw level with Ivory Coast
Japan need the win more I'd say. A draw for Greece and they might still fancy their chances against the Ivory Coast.

It wasn't too far off target. I'm going for Japan in this one.

Are we still waiting for the first goal scored directly from a free kick?

66 goals so far and not one from a free-kick.

Don't recall a 30 yard screamer either.

The funny thing is some people forecast more goals being scored from free kicks at this World Cup than ever before because the walls would be kept back ten yards by the magic spray.

It seems to have had the reverse effect as many more free kicks seem to have been hit straight into the wall.

I've struggled to juggle a social life and the night matches this week. That may be one plus point of a winter (our winter) World Cup. If it's pissing it down outside, you have an excuse not to leave the house.
