Katsouranis off, second bookable offence for the captain.
Stupid challenge for someone who's already been booked. |

Some nice build up play from japan although they lack a bit of quality in the final third
Greece going for a nil nil I suspect now |

Well, on the plus side - hopefully I never have to see Katsouranis in a Greece shirt ever again.

Gonna be hard for Greece now. Quote:
I've struggled to juggle a social life and the night matches this week. That may be one plus point of a winter (our winter) World Cup. If it's pissing it down outside, you have an excuse not to leave the house.
I've barely left the house this week!

The funny thing is some people forecast more goals being scored from free kicks at this World Cup than ever before because the walls would be kept back ten yards by the magic spray.
It seems to have had the reverse effect as many more free kicks seem to have been hit straight into the wall. And what did I say not five minutes ago about Greek players disappearing?

When was the last time Greece were involved in an exciting game at a tournament? I dread their games more than England's nowadays.

Greece would take the point and still have a shout at beating Ivory Coast.
Think japan would still be thrashed by Columbia, although they might rest players |

This match is so clearly only going to decide who finishes third in the group. |

You'd think so wouldn't you, but get a draw here and I wouldn't put it past the Greeks to sneak a 1-0 win over the Ivory Coast.

Japan should feel greatly encouraged, Greece lost their top striker to injury and their captain to stupidity
They had by far the most chances, if they keep plugging at it I feel sure they can score.

Yes it's the sort of game where they could get their game plan right
Japan really need to step up a few gears here in the second half, especially against 10-men. |
