How far would Ian go to protect his secret? Could Jane help him out? Ian has a dirty side to him but it would interesting to know if he has a very dark side.

I personally don't think it's likely that Rainie will be murdered by Ian because that would mean another person is a murderer in the square since it's been practically confirmed that Ian didn't murder Lucy since he was with Rainie the night that she died. If Jane killed Lucy however, Rainie turning up dead and ultimately being murdered by Jane isn't something that can be ruled out completely though I personally an pleased to see Rainie back and don't want her dead.

Maybe GBH. I'd love to see the Beales get a bit tough - it's what Pete would have done!

If Mark/Martin was still around, we possibly could have seen this. At the moment, I think denise is possibly the only person who could go as far and kill Rainie (and even then I doubt she would deliberately)

The Beales are essentially good people as a result of the iron fist parenting of Lou- this passed onto Pauline and Ian, both who have strong moral values (though Ian's are somewhat dubious, he is a good man) who taught their children the same. So having a Beale even go as far as GBH would go against most of the characters.

As I said if the Fowlers (or even Steven) were about, might see it but not with the current Beales

How brilliant if after months of blackmailing, taunting and torturing, Ian looses the plot and in a moment of rage bashes her over the head. As she falls to the floor, Phil walks in. Phil then helps Ian to cover up the 'murder/manslaughter' and que a long story line covering up the murder of Rainie.

Why would Rainie be murdered?
