Just because they lost one match it doesn't make them a failure.

Let's hope England score fairly early on. If it's 0:0 well into the second half people's nerves will be jangling big time!

Italy are better than England, only deluded fans would think England are a failure based on losing to them.

Has anyone called them 'a failure'?

Most comments/reports seem to have been fairly positive.

With the exception of everyone's favourite whipping-boy, of course.

I beg your pardon?

What has 'club mentality' got to do with anything. Do you disagree that Rooney has received far more criticism than any other player? He's the biggest star, therefore he's targeted. It's how our base-level media work. Is that a bit hard for you to understand, or does everything have to be club-oriented, in your eyes?

'Victim mentality'. Jesus, wind it in.

you wouldnt give 2 hoots if he played for another club, all i ask is for 1 month without that bias

of course media has been harsh on rooney, i have stood up for him at every opportinity, i dont care who he plays for. if he was a liverpool player you would never post the same thing about favourite whipping boy.

did you not make a post in ya own thread about how england players are ONLY targeted because they play for man utd?

You're making massive assumptions based on one piece of 'evidence'. The two things are unrelated.

Besides, I didn't say that the media target United players. In that instance I was talking about the football public. This is about the media.

They have done the same with Terry, for example. Barnes was a 'whipping-boy', to a slightly lesser extent. It happened to Hargreaves, too.

fans have had a go at rooney just as much as media, there is no difference,

lets back all the players,no special cases.

play same way and we can hope to have 3pts later on tonight.
