Recently bought a NowTV box to make use of iplayer and youtube.

Can't seem to create an account unless I give them my credit card details, is it at all possible to create an account without giving them card details?

once you create the username and password it goes to the payment screen - you can close your browser and you should be able to log into the now tv box with the username and password you created

I tried that and it doesn't seem to work.

That may have worked at one time but Terma and Conditions have changed.
I had to give credit card details for the 30 day trial but cancelled before the period was up and was never charged for anything.
