5.1 Speaker problems
I bought an Eke 5.1 Speakers - AC3 / Dolby from Aria and have not been able to get it to work. I connected it to the dvd player through a optical cable connection but after a few minutes the subwoofer/amplifier unit makes a loud thud and switches off along with the speakers. Sometimes it restarts automatically but then switches off again a few seconds later.
The max. time I've had it on/working at any one time was 5 minutes . I've checked the speaker wire connections (+ and -') around 20 times and have also tried using the cables provided (aux red and white plug cables) instead of the optical but I get the same problem!. Is the speaker system faulty or am I making a glaringly obvious and common mistake ????Since its been a month since I got these any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Sounds like it's a faulty unit, try leaving it on with nothing connected to it and see if it does the same,if so it is faulty.

Should be no problem getting it swapped,it should stay on,may have a faulty component that is overheating.
