Mount Balotelli is close to erupting. Evacuate to a safe area.

No - The fact England got themselves in such a position means we are not good enough to be at the world cup, and rightfully so we will be going out.

Lineker has cursed Italy.

If Italy try to play for a draw against Uruguay it may turn out to be their own undoing.

Won Goal Of The Month once (dinky lob shot), talented player, but just seemed to stop trying a couple of years ago.

Dempsey did well the other day, so Fulhams having a decent World Cup.

Sid Sidwell to replace Gerard !

He'll probably go and score now but I really don't think Cassano is any good.

What about 1954, 1990 and 1998?

If Italy lose this the Italian press will go ballistic, then they will probably lose to Uruguay as well

It's not compulsory, but knowing the other results during the World Cup is pretty much expected, especially if you want others to take your opinions seriously...

Is it really wrong to want your team to go through no matter what? I really doubt if Spain had to rely on other teams all their fans would be saying "Nope we dont deserve to go through anyway so lets just hope we dont"

Although if they lose this they still only need a point against Uruguay as well

No, apart from people who suddenly develop blind faith.

Spain have been the most embarrassing team so far.

No England fan should have been expecting England to still qualify. Have words with yourselves.

People keep saying that it's Uruguay and now Italy who have played badly. But surely credit must go to Costa Rica for actually being pretty good?

The only thing in England's defence is that it has turned into a much tougher group than anyone anticipated. Who would ever have guessed that Costa Rica might be the best team of the four?

Italy offside again! I've not seen runs this bad since I had my first dodgy kebab.

Italy aren't scoring.

Even if Italy lose 1-0, a draw against Uruguay would put them through on GD. If they lose 2-0 though, Uruguay would go through on goals scored given a draw.

They're not just pretty good.....they are really strong (sure, Italy have a lot of possession at the moment but that was inevitable, they're a decent side themselves)

I suspect that's probably happening as we speak. Social media must be a harsh place for this Italian team at the moment.

Especially a shock result like that in England's group.

Surely an Italy goal will come near the end won't it?
