Feel a bit bad, but would love Costa Rica to win.
Simply put, England just aren't good enough, and to scrape through to the next round on some mathematical formula would simply put off the inevitable exit...... |

Very difficult to compare them when Italy (and Juventus) are set up in a specific way to allow him to flourish. Hodgson has no clue how to use half his players and that explains why Gerrard looked so bad in this WC yet had a great season at Liverpool in a team Rodgers has built around him.
Italy have been very sloppy so far. |

Gerrard was good for Liverpool but I think he was vastly overrated by the media too. He was given second place behind Suarez in one of the player of the year awards for example. But I think that anyone who seriously believes that he was a better midfielder than Yaya Toure last season needs their head examined.
Italy have been very sloppy so far. |

I can see Italy being affected by playing their three games in the humid, hot conditions.
Started this game looking tired |

If Italy draw this match, then Uruguay will fight to the death in their final match against Italy.
Italy could go out of the group along with England. |

That's like saying you hope your team gets knocked out in the first round of the FA Cup next year, just incase they get knocked out in the 2nd.
England cant compete. Posters here can witter on about some good attacking play, but in both games we have been shown up as poor all round, with players who simply haven't the pace, nor footballing nous to win when needed. But please, stay in your little bubble world if you wish, the only one you are kidding is yourself. |

Have we ever been in a position where the outcome of our game in a world cup, has ever helped out another nation,

Italy look sluggish.
Are they playing for a draw or are they tired due to the humidity? |

Balotelli's a good player, but he's not as good as he thinks he is. Very good but not great ala Suarez.

Fantastic ball from Pirlo, Mario should've scored!
