Hunter & The Bear are a British group lead by Jimmy Hunter & Will Irvine.

Inspired by artists such as The Band, Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen, Will & Jimmy started to write and perform as a duo with Jimmy playing lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocal whilst beside him Will on the rhythm guitar and singing lead vocals. Having started the band in Newcastle where they were studying at University they moved to London in 2012 to bring their own brand of power folk to the huddled masses. Gareth Thompson, drums and Chris Clark, bass, completed the line up in 2014 to bring you a live set up you don’t want to miss.

2013 was a hectic year for Hunter & the Bear with notable performances at Hard Rock Calling, Troon and Cornbury Festival, supporting Twin Forks and Shovel & Rope, followed by two sold out headline shows at Islington Academy2 and The Borderline. The band is confirmed as main support for the legendary Eric Clapton on his UK Tour 2014.
Came across this band on Soundcloud, pretty impressive with strong vocals and harmonies!

Been listening to the Last EP (Dusty Road) all week on SoundCloud.

Particularly a track called 'The North'.

Love the different rhythms between the guitars and the layers of strumming... Harmonies are as strong as ever!

Love the bands consistency and style with their chosen artwork.

Personally I think this could be the bands strongest single to date, so excited for the new EP!!!

Hunter & The Bear have released a sneak peak of the new music video - 'Pick Me Up'

From what the little clip offers, It looks like the video is shaping up to be a decent one!

With the clip being so small, they're obviously not giving many clues away!

I'll be honest I'm not one patience, just give us the video now PLEASE!!

Can not wait for the official release!

Great harmonies, layers and intricate rhythms are always a given with these boys.

The official video for Pick Me Up' has finally landed!!

Such a great track, sounds even better live!

Female First seem to be showing there love too!

Opening track 'Pick Me Up' may start off slowly with some subtle vocals, but it doesn't take long for the tune to do exactly what it says in the title, inevitably lifting the spirits of anybody listening.

Their harmonies weave together perfectly forming a comforting musical blanket of warmth and sincerity - though they've drawn comparisons to other groups it's quite clear that they're able to stand on their own with unique talent and ability. It's obvious why it was chosen as a lead single.

#ThrowbackThursday Hunter & The Bear performing live at Cornbury Music Festival.

Was very fortunate to be their in person to watch the full performance. Alongside the legend himself Jools Holland, not to forget the impressive performance by Simple Minds!!

Anyway, Here we have the fabulous folk foursome - H&TB performing Montana Men.
