Brit Dan Evans lost in 4 to Kuznetsov which eliminated ashtray88. Tobias Kambe lost a marathon match with Jan Hernych in 5 sets knocking out Bhaveshgor. Exciting youngster Dominic Thiem couldn't set up a meeting with Dimitrov as he was beaten by Australian Luke Saville, ending the comp for javjamoll84.
Big defeat of the day however was Fernando Verdasco as he was beaten by in form Marinko "Mad Dog" Matosevic in 4 sets. This was bad news for Darren Lethem, basdfg, Department_S and Hutchy_Muse.
