Really can't see him playing there anymore, he's surely off to Madrid ?

Also, nice to See Roy Hodgsoms words spurred him on...

Why? What's different since yesterday?

Hodgson's words won't have made a difference at all, as if Suarez would have not tried if he was praised.

I hope so for his sake. I've felt sorry for him for the last couple of seasons he's clearly one of the best (if not the best) strikers in the world and he's playing for Liverpool

I know it's painful for Liverpool fans but he deserves better

Yeah, he must hate it at Liverpool. Must be why he signed 2 contract extensions since he joined in 2011.

He'll hate it even more next season when we're challenging for the title and playing Champions League football.

He's above Liverpool. He also begged to leave once, I reckon he'll do it again after the WC

Sometimes you need to accept that a player is bigger than your club. We've all been there

I wouldn't have put it quite like that but I'm sure his agent will have told him that he should be playing for one of the top 3 or 4 sides in the Champions League. That's the big Spanish two (have to leave out Atletico because they don't pay enough), Bayern and may be Chelsea. I'd add Man City because of the high salaries.

He's vile. Spouting off about retribution, being in a great place because he beat us because we have all been so nasty to him.

Atletico or Real?

Cos if you mean Real, would he want to leave a team who finished second in the best league in Europe compared to a team who finished third in a league which only really has three teams competing for it? So, finished third out of three...

Yes he would

No player is bigger than Liverpool, you can't compare last season with this, no CL football and looking outsiders to qualify this time, instead we qualified easily and almost won the PL. Suarez was also at a low ebb after his ban now he's double footballer of the year and PL top scorer.

Who cares about what Hodgson said? Suarez certainly won't. Hodgson is an ant to him. He's currently the best striker in the world and we're very happy to have him at Liverpool.

Barcelona finished 2nd in the best league in Europe.

Real Madrid won the Champions League.

I'm sure he'll get sick of the death threats that will undoubtedly be up next from sections of the English.

Suarez is a natural villain. He'll thrive on the Ingurlund fans booing him next season.

Suarez merely scored for his country, he won't get anything like the hilarious nonsense Ronaldo did after 2006.

He is extremely easy to dislike.

Having said that, he's just won the Football Writers' POTY, the PFA POTY and the Fans POTY.

So talk about him getting retribution, or people in England hating him doesn't really make much sense.

If Suarez sticks a few more in he'll be getting all sorts of offers he can't refuse.

Not come across anybody hating Suarez because of the result last night. That was down to England being shit.

Suarez is the best player in England - he wouldn't be the best player in Spain automatically. He'd be competing against Messi and Ronaldo for starters. I think he'll enjoy being top of the tree for a while longer before considering a move to pastures new.

Death threats for scoring against England?

He begged to leave, but never handed in a formal transfer request. 5 months later, he signs a contract extension. He couldn't have been that desperate to leave.

And since then, Liverpool have narrowly missed out on the title (unthinkable this time last year) and will be playing Champions League football next season.

I am absolutely confident Suarez will be playing in Merseyside again next season.

51 million?

Sounds like cobblers, no way would Liverpool sell him for that.

The Spanish media have said said that he has an €85m release clause in his Reds contract - but that fee is lowered by €20m if an offer comes from Real Madrid or Barcelona

He might well be. Shame for him if he is, he's much better than that
