Liverpool showed last year that offers from other clubs or what the player apparently says are meaningless. While he is under contract he will play for Liverpool. I see absolutely no reason why anything has changed because of last night. It's not like RM will suddenly have woken up to the fact he's the best player in the PL, possibly the world right now last night. Stupid thread.

The Spanish media have said said that he has an €85m release clause in his Reds contract - but that fee is lowered by €20m if an offer comes from Real Madrid or Barcelona

He had a release clause in his last contract which Arsenal triggered, for all the good it did them.

I hope so for his sake. I've felt sorry for him for the last couple of seasons he's clearly one of the best (if not the best) strikers in the world and he's playing for Liverpool
I know it's painful for Liverpool fans but he deserves better It is silly season after all. |

He might well be. Shame for him if he is, he's much better than that
You are aware that Arsenal are going to be a long way behind Liverpool (and Chelsea, and Manchester City, and possibly even Manchester United, Spurs and Everton) for the next few years, aren't you? Arsene Wenger used to be good at finding unknowns (or at least unfancied players) and turning them into world-beaters (Anelka, Henry, Fabregas). But he hasn't done that for a long time. |

The same Spanish media who last week said Higuain was Barca's no1 target? Don't believe everything you read in the Spanish media. |

You're quite a stupid person aren't you? You've had a bee in your bonnet about Liverpool for a while now. You were slagging off Brendan Rodgers before last season started, laughing at him for saying he was aiming for a Champions League place. Is it because your team hasn't progressed for years, and also because Liverpool refused to sell Suarez to Arsenal last summer? Arsenal aren't going to manage to keep pinching that fourth spot each year for much longer, you know.

Not for me. I suppose we would have to ask the best 20 players in the world whether they would rather play for Liverpool or Madrid/Barca/Bayern and possibly one or two other English clubs
They're a tier below for me. The future does look good for you though, especially if you keep him |

As a football fan I would like to see Suarez stay in the EPL.
Alas if Liverpool don't do so well by Christmas.............he will be wanting a move in the January transfer window. I wonder if he has a clause in his contract? |

Those big clubs are going to have to stump up big money for Suarez if they want him.
Liverpool aren't going to sell him cheap, I'd imagine it would be 70m plus. |

I don't think it's as definite as the OP makes out, but it is a big possibility.
I support a lesser club and well used to seeing our best players get snapped up by bigger and richer clubs on a regular basis, I find it amusing to see fans of clubs like Liverpool trying to kid themselves that if someone richer and bigger than them came along a player would want to stay where they are. If Man U can sell Ronaldo then what chance do Liverpool have of holding onto Suarez if someone else wants him and he wants to go? |

People are talking about on the pitch but off it he's very much a family man. It would take a MASSIVE offer for him to uproot them. His daughter loves it in Liverpool apparently.

He's above Liverpool. He also begged to leave once, I reckon he'll do it again after the WC
Sometimes you need to accept that a player is bigger than your club. We've all been there Whilst clubs like Real Madrid will undoubtedly up their offer for him, if it is not more than what they paid for Bale last year then they are being delusional and insulting Luis. The fact is he is the best player in the world, no matter how many people claim it to be the likes of Messi, or Neymar or Ronaldo or anyone else. Luis proved against England, that even at around 60% fit he will destroy any defence and outshine every other player on the pitch. Last year Real Madrid offered around £50million for Luis, he turned it down. This year they will need to triple that amount and he will still turn it down. Luis loves playing for and living in Liverpool, he considers it his home. His best friends are all at Liverpool, his passion and heart are all for Liverpool. He is going nowhere anywhere soon. |

No he hasn't, at no point last summer did he beg to leave, his agent told him offers were coming in and he listened. But decided to stay put, and he has already decided to stay put for this coming season as well. Luis just enrolled his daughter in a Merseyside school, and has already told his agent not to listen to offers from anywhere as he wants to try and win the league and play champions league football with and for Liverpool.

I won't be insulting to you here, but you've got a lot to learn. Hopefully you're under 20 years old in which case you can be excused.

Nope, try again! I was simply stating facts, that people do not want to accept those facts is not my problem.

Every single summer there is a transfer circus surrounding Suarez. He will stay at Liverpool once again, it's that simple.

Suarez will leave Liverpool in a heartbeat if he gets the chance to go to a bigger and better club. I'm trying to think back but has this never happened with a Liverpool player for you to learn this lesson yet? Have you not seen it happen with hundreds of other players around the world? He left Ajax to join you lot didn't he?
![]() As far as other players go, they are not Luis, ungrateful, untalented idiots like Torres, who could not see that a huge part of his success at Liverpool was down to the players around him, he said when he left Liverpool that he was happy to go to a bigger club. The entire Chelsea team of players, coaching staff and board told him to take that statement back. But he still looked at Chelsea as a bigger club. Answer me this what has Torres done personally since then, bugger all, he could not hit a cows arse with a banjo. Not all players are disloyal, some of them find a home where they and their families are very happy and choose to stay put and build a personal life for themselves in that city as well as a professional life. Luis bringing his family to Liverpool and enrolling his daughter in a local school proves just that. He is happy at Liverpool and so are his family. He is going nowhere, and the only people that do not want to accept that are the people that are terrified of him destroying their team next season and for many seasons to come. |
