Can people please go back the soap threads or where ever you were before the World Cup started.

Thanks.

As for Liverpool being the best supported team, not even close. Top 10 yes, but there are bigger fan bases in England, let alone the world.

If Suarez goes, gutted. If he stays made up.

This must be quite a shock for some going by the earlier replies. It's not really a shock at all though, was inevitable once Barcelona declared their interest.

I really thought he was more of a Real Madrid type player.

Im a little surprised Barca would pay so much for damaged goods, will be interesting to see how he goes on the field and how he deals with the Spanish press.

Missed this thread first time around.

Highly amusing reading it back, especially the "we are mighty Liverpool why would he want to leave us?" type stuff from 1 or 2 posters.

They set themselves up for ridicule I can see why some Liverpool fans would get annoyed with such fans

Yep.

I think saying "we want at least Łx amount" which seems to be the opinion of a lot of Liverpool fans is totally understandable. It was the "why would he ever leave" type stuff that amused me

No he hasn't, at no point last summer did he beg to leave, his agent told him offers were coming in and he listened. But decided to stay put, and he has already decided to stay put for this coming season as well. Luis just enrolled his daughter in a Merseyside school, and has already told his agent not to listen to offers from anywhere as he wants to try and win the league and play champions league football with and for Liverpool.

Whilst clubs like Real Madrid will undoubtedly up their offer for him, if it is not more than what they paid for Bale last year then they are being delusional and insulting Luis. The fact is he is the best player in the world, no matter how many people claim it to be the likes of Messi, or Neymar or Ronaldo or anyone else. Luis proved against England, that even at around 60% fit he will destroy any defence and outshine every other player on the pitch. Last year Real Madrid offered around Ł50million for Luis, he turned it down. This year they will need to triple that amount and he will still turn it down.

Luis loves playing for and living in Liverpool, he considers it his home. His best friends are all at Liverpool, his passion and heart are all for Liverpool. He is going nowhere anywhere soon.

Marvellous. Let the shirt burning commence!

Very smart... he is one of the 2-3 best players in the world. What will Liverpool do without him?

About fifth or sixth and maybe a domestic cup run.

I really feel for some of the Liverpool fans who posted earlier in this thread; they must feel betrayed and crest-fallen at the moment considering Suarez’s recent proclamations of undying love for all things Merseyside.

Rather like being dumped by your first girlfriend when she tells you she can’t see you tonight because she’s staying in “washing her hair”.......it’s a long time ago but I still remember the desolation of being second best to a bottle of shampoo.

However, one must always remember that MANY footballers (some guided by agents) are the same as ALL politicians......cynical opportunists!

Don't think the defence is too hot however.

Barcelona need Hummels urgently. Their defence is terrible.

A complete joke that they are allowed to stockpile players whilst a transfer ban is temporarily lifted.

After the Neymar shennanigans and the supposed transfer ban they've topped it off by signing a serial bad boy currently serving a ban.

Nothing classy about them of late.

Suarez has made no secret of his desire to join one of the big two in La Liga.

As soon as the clause was implemented into his contract and one of the big two made the bid he was a goner.
