I know - lets ban all holidays for anyone who fails to do their job properly. Fantastic!

Should perhaps be in the showbiz section.

Why is a question about her and her lump of a husband wanting the world cup over to go on holiday.

Because she's not a footballer, her opinions have nothing to do with the World Cup.

Can't wait til Hodgson ditches this Colleen Rooney character. England might get somewhere in the next tournament.

Most people in this country don't get £200k + a week and if they do fail their job will be sacked.

If you choose to put yourself in the public eye as an England then expect criticism when you fail to anything worth while in successive World Cups.

It's his job to score goals and he failed in 2014 like he did 2010.

By this standard every player should be sacked unless they win the World Cup.

And he's not being paid his salary by England or the FA, he's being paid by Manchester United. Should they sack him? Should all the Spain players be sacked? I'm sure Manuel Pellegrini would be more than pleased to chuck David Silva out the door just before preseason.

Seriously people, stop being so stupid.

He gets £159k after tax but the money is irrelevant, he's not getting paid that salary playing for England

Nah

She's married to a millionnaire footballer

Life is a continuous holiday

Maybe not the main money, but all the advert's he has done on the back of the World Cup.

So it's a two page interview, and people like the OP pick up on one phrase and throw in a number of assumptions and extrapolate it to mean that she doesn't want her husband and national team to do well?

Wayne and Colleen would be criticised by a certain sort of person regardless of how well Wayne plays or how successful the English team are.

Are you saying that a newspaper editor appears to have picked a phrase and used it out of context to sensationalise an article?

First time that's happened.

If anything going out early means they'll be expected to be in training earlier for their which all players hate meaning the likes of Rooney will have to maintain fitness sooner.

Its probably just a comment totally misquoted knowing the Sun.... I though being Liverpool boycotted that paper?

BTW The England cricketers might as well stayed at home for Christmas last winter! (Don't their "WAGS" usually go out with them?)
