That won't be another disappointment.
Surprising how AM is rated in the UK media. He's crap. One lucky result.
Two grand slams, one Olympic gold, nine masters titles, career high ranking of world number two, sixth highest prize money earner in history of the sport.

That's one hell of a single lucky result to get him all that!

Why do people have this obsession about the size or population of a country? The Dutch have a better football mentality than England and two genuinely world class attackers who can kill any team by themselves.

Good point - if he went on expectations based by size of a country we shouldn't be losing 3-0 to the All Backs..

We didn't do badly playing wise against Italy but failed to take chances whilst Suarez was allowed too much time and room for Uruguay.

We probably performed better than at Euro 2012 or the last World Cup though.

The Scots must be loving this.

Has Alex Salmond used England's elimination as ammunition for the "Yes To Independence" campaign yet?
Oh yes, they've all crawled out of the woodwork today. Supermarkets can expect a spike in Buckfast sales this weekend.

Just read something earlier (on a site called Daily News I think) to the effect of "England to be given second chance at World Cup" because the ref in the Uruguay game was congratulated by a match fixing group on Twitter.
However the story itself has been classed as a hoax.
Not amused

You saw in the Germany vs Ghana match just now, the German players when on the ball have an air of authority about them, in contrast to England's players who don't. The big guns just play a different game.

I dunno if that's the issue as such. Spain have great ball control and they're going home. Brazil are meant to have great ball control but they're struggling along. Germany have only just managed a win.

Maybe football is just football. Everything cancels everything else out and it all comes down to if you have a superstar in your team or not.

Someone on BBC news just said it's because we don't have enough players in the champions league but Spain had plenty and look what happened to them.
