Almost certainly coincidence, but just a fun fact... I was looking at the male/female firing ratios in the various weeks, and the one that stands out the most is that in almost all of the series, a woman has been fired (or left, in the case of Series 1) in the fourth week. The only occasions when this hasn't happened have been with Simon in Series 4 and Lewis in YA2.
A woman nearly always goes in Week 4
) and it's certainly a funny coincidence.
There probably would have been a woman and at least one man fired in Series 2 Week 4, if not for the "one firing per week" rule that was in operation for the normal tasks then.
I've noticed this in the past, before Series 9 aired and I remember being amused when Uzma was fired in this week.

You're right, although not as consistently as the Week 4 female firings. In Week 7, we've lost Jenny and Jennifer in Series 4, Sandeesh in Series 6, Lizzie and Haya in YA2 (though two guys also went in that week) and Natalie in Series 9 (although again, a man was fired in addition to her).
