Brave goalkeeping from Haghighi.

Hopefully Argentina aren't too far away from scoring the goal which will stop the Iranians trying to turn this into a repeat of the Nigeria match.

Good move, Argentina banging the door down.

Iran looking tough to break down here. I think Argentina will just have to hope to wear them down. Good chance for Aguero.

Aguero refusing to pick up the corner flag. Time wasting.

Surprised that Aguero isn't getting a yellow for knocking down the corner flag.

I think the floodgates will open if Argentina get one.

Knocking over the corner flat isn't a cautionable fence as far as I know. Didn't Tim Cahill use it as a punchbag when he celebrated his wonder strike t'other night?

What a chance for Garay.

Have to say the nine-man Iranian defence hasn't been seriously tested in this first half.

Messi looks anonymous again.

I'm actually not surprised by this scoreline. Argentina weren't great against Bosnia and Iran don't concede many goals.

Iran are very resilient and I can understand the Argies getting frustrated. Need to keep putting on pressure and work the ball to find space. They could do with playing it to Aguero's feet a little more. Higuain hasn't been great imo.

Argentina 6-1 Iran.

One of Argentina's goal will be after 24 passes.

I was surprised the referee didn't make him pick it up. Most exciting thing that's happened in the game so far.

I don't think the crossing has been good enough from Argentina either. Rojo has played a few poor crosses out of play in particular. Zabaleta is a better bet to get on the ball. I still think they'll win comfortably if they get a goal before the hour mark though.

Wish O'Neill could make his mind up how to pronounce Iran and Iranian - it's not hard!

Haven't been impressed with Argentina. Much like against Bosnia were they are failing to create clear cut chances that you'd expect.

Example of the best players do not necessarily make the best team.

Not exactly easy to do with the opposing team playing 10 behind the ball and blocking all the spaces. They need more width and a quicker tempo but that's easier said than done when closed down. Aguero and Higuain both had very good chances though.

Every time I hear Teymourian I think of a Game of Thrones character.

I don't know why Messi is playing on the wing.
