Can a recorded TV programme be transferred between identical PVRs ?

Is it possible to transfer a recorded programme from one Panasonic DMR-HW120 Freeview+ HD recorder to another ??
We have two identical Panasonic set-top boxes (in different rooms), but wondered if & how programmes from one box can be transferred onto the other.

Check the manual because I'm pretty sure you will be able to copy content from the HDD to USB/external HDD and plug that in the other machine and play it, not sure if the second recorder will copy to the HDD from external drives, but then would there be the necessity to do this.....

If you read page 47 of the manual (which can be downloaded from here http://www.panasonic.eu/Downloads/en_GB/popup.html if you've lost it) has instructions for copying recording to an external USB drive.

That may let you play them back on the other recorder. Assuming they are not device locked. Many TVs for example with the ability to record to USB drives lock the recordings to the specific TV that recorded them. Not even an identical make and model can play them back. Not sure if this applies in your case but something to be aware of.

They also have network connections by the look of it. And have DLNA which allows sharing of media files between devices. Not sure if that would let you see one recorder from the other and stream recordings across your home network (assuming both are connected of course). Might be worth investigating as that saves faffing about copying to USB drive.
