So why is everyone defending him, a player, that was meant to be World class, didn't bother yet again apart from a easy goal and one great pass, will be counting his money, while England fan's who paid a lot of hard earned money to go out to Brazil, come home after the mess that is the England Football team,
No way should he ho adverts at this stage, if so give the money to a charity, when did to fail become so money making..

Hope as other's have said, he hang in the towel for England, give other a chance who really try hard and care.

England defeats always seem to summon new lows for DS Football Forums. Imagine the threads on here if England lose on Tuesday.
Can you imagine, this place would go into meltdown.

I guess he didn't give a shit when scoring the goals that got England to Brazil.

Just 9 goals from becoming all-time top scorer, the bastard.

I have as much right as anyone to have my say, was this a raw nerve, a MU supporter?

Im a Man United supporter yes, no raw nerves with me, I would defend anyone if I felt the need to, I defended Steven Gerrard the other day as well when he was getting slagged off.

When all you are doing is bitching about Rooney post after post, it becomes a tad tiresome.

Get the picture.

How many Rooney threads do we need - can one of you not start a dedicated Rooney thread and keep all this garbage in there.

We have scored two goals in the tournament. He assisted one and scored the other. How dare he.

Just what was Rooney doing in a commercial with Messi & Ronaldo? I mean the only way he should appear with those two would be if he was getting off a scooter delivering them a pizza or something,
Maybe they share a taste in babes?

I've said elsewhere, all current, eligible, English players should retire from international football.

It's just not worth it. We have a massive population of clueless idiots who always shout the loudest, during an international tournament. These are the same people who bleat about footballers' wages at any given opportunity, and pay little attention to club football. They also have seen none of the qualification process.

This is so evident it's untrue.

Rooney stopped caring years ago. He along with the rest of the England players tread water for the nation until it is back to the club season.

Thank god the World Cup will be over soon, then all those who bleat and shout nonsense will drift away from the football threads and leave us in peace over here.

Cant wait.

And it seems like they're all in this forum.

This is really little short of bullying from unintelligible cretins who can barely string a sentence together. The lad tries his heart out every time. He may not be in the greatest form of his life but he has let no-one down. No apology necessary.
I also hope he retires from international football- England don't deserve him.
Bring on the next whipping boy.

Gerrard should be the only player to come out and apologise. His mistake cost England the game nobody to blame but himself.coward.

to appease british hooligans and continue to fool people into thinking he's a world class player when of course he is not

I'll accept Roney's apology if he gives, to charity, all that money he's made off television adverts over the past month.

Gerrard and Hart......the same goes for you too
Lol this forum gets more ridiculous by the day.

Its starting to get a bit eye-opening, we all expected this to a degree, but the casuals have exceeded my expectations of idiocy by far now. It might start to calm a bit after England exit the World Cup after the Costa Rica game, we can but hope

They'll be back for the Euros, desperate to scapegoat anyone if England lose.

Goals will be irrelevant, qualification (if achieved) will be irrelevant. They'll come to discuss the really important football matters in the football forum, like the players going on holiday with the family, tattoos, adverts, and how the players haven't apologised to them personally after a defeat.
