That's it!

USA denied and Portugal stay in by the skin of their teeth!

Breathless, absolutely breathless.

YES! Still a chance to see the back of the US in the group stages. Come on Germany, do the business. Don't you dare settle for another anschluss.

Great for the group though, unless Germany and the US play out a shithouse draw.

So Portugal need to score 6 goals in their final game? Is that right? Oh wait.. if Germany smash the US then Portugal need less goals?

I'd be surprised because, of course, there's the issue of who'll finish top of the group at stake.

Have to say the USA are fast becoming my favourite team in this World Cup because they play with a level of determination and commitment you'd be hard pressed to find from another team in this tournament - and it nearly got them across the line tonight.

You have to take your hat off to Cristiano Ronaldo, though; clearly injured, clearly unfit, nothing went right for him tonight at all and right at the most important moment, he produces a cross of supreme quality to set up the equalising goal on a plate and essentially keep Portugal in the World Cup.

It's just unbelievable how you think this World Cup has reached the zenith of brilliance and it just goes up yet another notch

Bradley was abysmal and just cost us the game.

I wonder if Mr.Löw will organise a draw with his old mate/boss Jurgen.

They need a five goal turnaround on goal difference unlikely

USA and Germany will probably draw, suits both teams.
