Awful goalkeeping from Howard for the goal. He was sitting on his arse ffs.

Injured his beard.
Just remembered, when he hit the deck, and got up I saw him touching side of his face, which must have hurt.

Dempsey's going to bag one at some point.

USA have had the better of this game since the goal.

They may lead but Portugal still look unconvincing for me.

The defenders in particular are being pulled out of position all over the place and the Americans are just running into the space.

Nani is just utterly woeful as a footballer. No brain, no desire to be a team player. Awful.

Everything about the ghastly creature is fake apart from him undeniable talent.

This has got to be the Americans' best ever team. Still lacking a bit of quality but good nonetheless. Think it was a big mistake not bringing Donovan. He's always immense for the US and him and Dempsey together would be great. Klinnsman ego was bruised.

Surely a matter of time before an equaliser pops up. USA all over them.

He'll be coming off at half time. It's like watching Welbeck.

I hope that the US get one before half time to really create some tension.

Come on US, an equaliser before the break will set things up beautifully for the second half.

They deserve to be 2-1 up by now. Played much better IMO.

I could do with them turning it around in the second half. 35/1 on Portugal lead HT and USA win.
