For all their better play the US's chances have mainly been speculative shots from outside the area.

Nani and Ronaldo need to keep it a little more simple out there. Both just choosing the hard option nearly all the time, and it's rarely coming off.

Funny there should be what is essentially a time out in a match involving the USA.

Did American TV go to adverts during that break by any chance?

Seems you get a lot of smaller sides getting dozens of chances to score, and not capitalising. The bigger sides often get less chances, but capitalise when they do. That seems to be what seperates a lot of the big teams from the smaller teams in my opinion.

I do hope the US get back into this game and snag a goal though!

Agreed. They just can't seen to find any structure when they're up near the goal and it ends up messy.

Looking at Ronaldo, he only looks about 70% fit.... I'm sure he's hobbling/limping half the time.

Come on US, an equaliser before the break will set things up beautifully for the second half.
2nd half should be better, as they'll have had their rest during break time. Have noticed that in the matches I've watched that teams did better in the 2nd half.

They should bring him off. They're trying to do a Suarez but I don't think it will work against the Americans.

Dire free kick. His goal ratio is actually pretty poor.
