I am currently subscribing to Virgin Media, and I want to continue to do so. However, I am frustrated by the fact that certain shows I want to see (eg Boardwalk Empire, and Game of Thrones) are not available to me due to Sky's exclusivity deal with HBO.

I want to remain with Virgin Media, but I wondered whether the Now TV box would provide me with the missing gaps in our entertainment package.

The way we watch TV now is to record everything, and just watch the recordings rather than live TV, which is determined by the programme planners and swamped with adverts. Additionally, we watch on demand and the TV apps such as Netflix.

What I would like to know is, if we got the Now TV box, would we then get access to the previous series of Game of Thrones, etc, from Series 1 on Sky's on demand service?

Can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks in advance.

As I understand it, you can only stream Game of Thrones via Blinkbox by way of PPV, which is very expensive.

Sky Go is also PPV to non Sky subscibers, and likely just as expensive. I doubt you can get previous Game Of Thrones series on Sky Go anyway.

Currently watching Game Of Thrones Series 1 on Blu-ray with a single disk at once subscription to Love Film.

you will have to sign up for entertainment pass; £4.99 per month. This gives you Sky Atlantic on demand as well as other channels already on virgin.

We've received questions from customers in the past few days about the availability of Game of Thrones seasons 1-3. All three seasons have now left the service, as originally planned.

We're really sorry if anybody didn't have the time to get through all of the episodes. We made a big thing out of when they all became available two months ago, and hoped everyone would be able to watch them all in that time.
If we'd kept Game of Thrones for longer, it'd mean that you could watch the first three seasons, but then would miss out on episode one of season four, which is also leaving the catch up service. Catch up episodes are available for 30 days from broadcast.

What a con. Most people don't watch three whole series in two months. The explanation they have given doesn't make a lot of sense either. What's the new season four got to do with it? There's nothing to prevent them from putting on the whole of season four at a later date, and who would start season four if they hadn't completed the first three series?

I don't know what they are playing at, but any limited trust I had in Sky before has now been totally lost. I am now determined not to subscribe to them directly at all.

This isn't the way to win over new customers!
