That chance sums up this game - he really should have buried that.

That was a serious chance for Russia. Should have scored.

Disappointing half from both. I don't think any nation in Group G will be worried about playing one of this sides in the Last 16 (should they get there)

People were saying Germany vs Ghana and Colombia vs Ivory Coast were crap at half time and then 45 minutes everyone said they were the greatest games ever!
![]() We've had some first half duffers that have turned into absolute crackers in this WC, plenty of time yet for this game to improve. |

well that is the kind of football you get from a team that builds there play around fellaini, relying on long balls and flick ons, i expected better football from belgium in this world cup. marc wilmots tactics are very uninspiring considering the talent he has in that squad, it doesn't help having lukaku up front either who has been lazy and uninterested...

Januzaj should come on in a central role, he's unpredictable still and could make a difference, probably won't happen though.

Is this the last game that Thierry and Clarence are doing?

Real shame. I wonder if they are being replaced, or will we just be seeing more of the others?

Clarence sounds like he knows his football, shocking he was only in the Milan job 5 months before sacking him. I hope he gets another job somewhere.

Thierry and Clarence were the best thing about the coverage this year. I hope they can even get them back for the final. It'll seem a bit lacklustre with the usual old BBC faces now.
Do they have club commitments or something? I thought Seedorf was jobless. Could have done with time to build a team in Milan. |

Oh I switched over at half time, is there a reason they're not doing any more?
I think they're the best pundits they have. |

Maybe the BBC have Roy Hodgson lined up as a pundit once he returns?

Couldn't help but compare the ponderous way Belgium counter-attacked just then to the lightning speed of the French one which produced their third goal against Switzerland.

Shame to lose 2 excellent pundits.
Feel the Belgiums need to make a sub or two. |

I have a £10 free bet on Belgium to win the WC @ 22/1 I thought I had an outside chance and that Belgium were going to be a bit special , almost two games in and they don't look anything special
