Hope the Italy physio has a tetanus injection in his kit.

Who knows what other shoulders those teeth have been in.

Which marks do we think are the teeth marks then?

Are all 5 dents in his shoulder the Suarez dentistry marks?

Lampard has to decide his future. Is there a future?

No they haven't because several of the squad have only been top players for a year or two, either because of age or form.
Shaw, Barkley, Oxlade-Chaimberlain, Smalling, Jones, Sterling, Sturridge, Lallana, Lambert etc.

ETA: Andros Townsend who's on telly now is out injured. He would have been there but has only shot on to the scene in the past year.
I'm talking about playing a style of football to suit the conditions that a player can fit into as and when the personnel changes.

Our sole tactic (which was to give it to Sterling and expect the lad to sh!t miracles) was found out after the first game. After that..... clueless.

No doubt Hodgson has been on telly spouting his usual post match drivel that begs the obvious "what game was he watching?" nonsense.
The only positive to come away with is the number of zeros he added to his bank account over the past month.

On the plus side we won't have to worry about arguing the rights and wrongs of playing in Qatar in 2022. This team won't qualify for it

Suarez should be banned from the rest of the World Cup after that.

If the cheating wasn't bad enough, the biting is totally unforgiveable and disgraceful.

I can't call him an animal as that would be an insult to animals.

Even horses have their standards though.

After Gerrard and Rooney came on we were hopeless, not even a shred of quality from then on.

And Roy's post match interview makes me despair. I'm failing to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

All this will they won't they malarkey is getting very tiresome.

Lampard & Gerrard have had their time; they're unlikely to be around for Euro 2016 & they definitely won't be around for WC 2018, so the manager just needs to tell them, "thanks for the memories".

Gerrard will be at Euro 2016, he's two years younger than Lampard.

Yep. Lampard for certain. Surely that was his swan song.
Gerrard is 34. Possibly a few games as a transition period to help out the new midfield - and probably Hodgson and the FA want him to equal or go ahead in the caps stat but that shouldn't be top of the agenda.

Sturridge shouldn't have started. It's been clear him on his own is not the way we scored. Also deeply gutted for Lambert probably dreaming of the WC and in the supposed farewell game he doesn't get a sniff in especially when we could have done with a stronger presence up front.

Hodgson: "We dominated"

We inflicted a devastating 0-0 draw over Costa Rica.

Off the top of my head I'm struggling to think of a team who scored fewer. Has there been?

Don't start the engines on that plane yet.

Surely the only fitting punishment for Saurez is to nullify all goals he's scored in this tournament. That'll put England on four points, ahead of Italy's three and Uruguay's three and into the second round. Come on England!!!!

Suarez had better find a new club... not England... but what is poor Brendan going to do. Suarez made him look good... Just look at Rodgers records...rubbish. I will give him 3 years at Liverpool and then Skelmersdale perhaps.. no brain --of course -hes Irish

Hardly the international company England imagine themselves alongside is it.

Unfortunately though, that's about our level.

Only Sturridge looked like scoring in that game.
