2014/15 Premier League Season: Predictions Competition.

Hey guys,

The new Premier League season is only a couple of months away now, so I've decided to set up the thread for the 2014/15 Predictions Competition. I've noticed this is normally run by Terrence Chant and DimbleBurbleby, but hopefully they won't mind if I make my own thread or alternatively help them out with theirs. Let me know guys!

In this competition, you have to predict the scores in each and every game of the 2014/15 Premier League Season, trying to gain as many points as you can. The scoring is as follows:-

• 3 points for a correct scoreline
• 1 point for a correct result (but not a correct scoreline)
• 0 points for an incorrect result

The points for each game week will be tallied up and I will post an update on the table after each set of fixtures. Then at the end of the 38-game season the person with the most points will be the winner!

Please post in this thread if you would like to take part in this competition so I can compile a list of the players and if you have any alternative ideas/suggestions to make this more fun, please let me know.

Without trying to sound critical but why ? Isnt it just exactly the same as the comp that TC and Dimble run anyway ? Maybe you need to try and differ it from theirs by adding a twist or such

I don't see the need for another Premier League prediction competition especially when it's almost identical to our long established one. Either make it totally different or don't bother at all.

Totally agree with this.

Agree with both.

More points are available on Dim & TC's as well and I will need all the points I can get

yeah last year I did the DS one, Super 6 and occasionally did the prediction game one too, this year I want to settle down to one, and it will be the DS one, why not just join that one and save yourself the hassle?

I doubt you (or anyone for that matter) would be able to match the incredible work TC and Dim do on stats and things

Yes, anyone who thinks they can run their own prediction competition really needs to understand the amount of effort it takes to do it accurately, efficiently and consistently. TC & Dim have a system that works incredibly well and can generate a staggering amount of statistics in a very short time.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I agree that Terrence Chant and DimbleBurbleby can't be matched for their work on running their competitions and thus I won't do one that mimics theirs. Any suggestions for something slightly different would be greatly received and hopefully a new competition that interests people can be created.

Hey people, I have set up a thread for a new competition for the next Premier League season now. It's different to the quality Premier League Prediction Competitions TC and DB normally run, so hopefully that won't cause any problems. Below is a link to the thread if you would like to take part:-
