Don't want to sign up to a 4g EE tariff if I can only get 3g on my phone.

Who is your current network provider?
AFAIK the HTC One M7 should be 4G ready. You can order a free EE SIM from their website. Put it into your phone and see what happens? |

I'm on EE but it's on an Orange contract. Great idea about the free SIM! Thanks.

All versions of the m7 are 4G. Only issue would be down to LTE bands if it isn't a UK model.

Thank you very much, great info! Yes it's a UK model too. I'm due for renewal soon and was going to get the M8, but the M7 is more than good enough. Rumours of an early 2015 release for the M9.

Yeah your HTC will be compatible with 4G then as I remember shopping online and having the choice of Orange/T-Mobile or 4GEE.
