The WC that keeps on giving...
Loving this tourny. What a complete change from four years ago (Algeria and the WC)

Such an odd side. Nothing for 20 minutes, then suddenly they explode into life
That seems to have been the case for a number of the smaller sides at this World Cup, though; it's the necessity of needing goals and a result which has enabled them to find that extra 20%.

Sums up the craziness of this World Cup. I hope it continues right through to the end.
I've embraced the insanity of this World Cup. Love it! If South Korea get another then what a finish we'll have to this game.

I'm watching this game. It makes me realise just how far England are behind in every aspect of the game. From the kit design, to technical skill. Shocking, truly shocking.

Good chance there for Korea to make it a barn-storming finish.

Yeah, agreed- some of the smaller teams have been the best to watch. If only that determination was paired with a bit more skill at finishing, Korea could be level, or even winning by now.

Yep, it would have been more of a contest.

So ends a remarkable match - full of goals and entertaining, attacking football.

Credit to the South Koreans for making a game of it with a second half performance I don't think any of us thought they were capable of - but equally full credit to the Algerians for winning the game in the first half and continuing to attack in the second when they could easily have shut up shop when it went 3-1.

Ultimately, though, Algeria deserved to hang on for that absolutely sublime fourth goal - which is one of the best team passing goals we'll see in this World Cup.

What an outstanding football tournament this World Cup is turning out to be.

The commentator said a draw against Russia will see Algeria through. Surely Korea still have a chance of going through.

They'd have to beat Belgium prob by 2 or 3 goals for that

Another fun match in a World Cup full of them. Sets up for an interesting final day for this group too. I'd like to see the Algerians go though.

Yep, he's wrong. It's a slim chance, but if Russia and Algeria draw, or Russia win, then S Korea beat Belgium by the required GD, then Belgium and S Korea would go through.

Really good game, thoroughly entertaining, right up there with the best matches of the tournament. Some terrific goals, too.

Algeria in a very good position to qualify now.

Surely if Russia win and South Korea win then SK go though anyway.

If Russia and Algeria draw then SK would have to beat Belgium by 4 or more otherwise Algeria will go though on head to head record.

No. Both teams have 1 point, so if they both win their next games, they'll have 4, and it'll come down to goal difference.

Like Belgium vs Russia just before? Or Bosnia vs Nigeria last night, or Costa Rica vs Italy yesturday?

I get your point, we're averaging 2.9 goals, highest since 1970 (1982 averaged 2.82 so watch out for that), but I suspect people are having selective memories and forgetting some of the duffers we've had just beforehand. Mind you I can't blame anyone not wanting to remember some of those matches listed above, I'm certainly trying to.
