Ronaldo should be dropped
nevada

He's not world class. All he's done is make one good pass for a goal.

He should donate a week's earnings (c£1m) to making sure the Portugal travelling fans are adequately compensated with anything left over going to charity.

Then he should avoid making a hollow apology and scurry away without a word when he gets home.

Meta trolling.

The OP is right though. Even Wayne Rooney has performed better than Ronaldo.

An half fit Ronlado is still twice the player that Nani is!

Oh bugger off !!!

It's clear that he is still not 100% fit. At least he managed to set up Portugal last goal.

Doesn't help either when his rival Messi is certainly going to get player of the tournament.

I'm assuming that this is parody.

People who think that this is serious should take a good look at the crap that's been spouted about Rooney.

It's a parody thread...

I don't see how this is more ridiculous than any of the things posted about Rooney on here in recent days.

I'm pretty sure that OP is joking. Based on the Wayne Rooney thread which was exactly the same.

I know. By meta trolling I just meant that the thread was trolling the Rooney trolls.

I agree entirely, OP. He didn't even score. His goal tally in La Liga and the Champions League are completely irrelevant. Unless he scores a few goals at the World Cup he can never be world class. Unfortunately his rival, Messi, has scored a couple of goals at this tournament to ensure he is world class, because he definitely wasn't before last week.

According to Wikipedia, he's only got one more World Cup goal than Heskey (and Rooney).

Clearly not good enough.

Completely agree, now that Messi has goals against Iran and Bosnia he can now be regarded as a legend and world class footballer. His 354 goals in 425 Barcelona appearances won't be irrelevant now, that's how it works right?

Ronaldo should be forced to hand over his Ballon D'or to Messi and retire from football altogether

I think the Ballon D'Or should be handed to 'Own Goal' - world class player who has probably scored more world cup goals than both combined.
