There's more content on Netflix that I want to watch than I will ever have spare time to watch, especially with a region-unblocker.
Each to their own though.

The thing is, with the exception of Netflix original product, I saw all those shows - at least, the ones that interest me - when they were broadcast and have no interest in seeing them again. The only DVDs I buy, for example, are music ones which can bear several viewings, as I have very little interest in seeing something more than once. Breaking Bad, Dexter etc. are brilliant - but once is enough!

I wish Netflix was more like an 80s video store, there were a lot of good films made in the 80s and I can't think of a reason why Netflix haven't picked up the rights in the UK.

More than enough for me at the moment and that is on the Uk one without using Unblock U.S. i know we are all different, but there is a lot of stuff i have not watched before.
As I have said before i have never been a big TV watcher, so I missed a load of stuff. |

If you want (some) brand new films to stream at home for a premium that's fine, and I'd agree with you. However, if you're into quality TV series which it seems you are with HOC, there's a whole lot more of those on the Netflix regions.
Film wise for *£9 a month there's a fair amount of recent stuff on the Netflix *regions* that I'd never get around to seeing at the cinema, as well as some older films I either missed or go back to that I enjoy. PS: I hope you at least managed to see Breaking Bad, or Hannibal in your 2 month subsciption ? *** extra sub of around £3 for unblock us I don't use netflix much at all these days but my son does otherwise I'd cancel it as there is very little there that I fancy or have not already seen. |

Also they have in the past used it to insert ads and with many of the popular browser plugins being bought by spam companies to use their install base for malicious reasons so you need to be careful |

if you only watch the UK netflix then fair enough but if you have all regions available to you netflix is by far and away the best service out there.
as for a 1980`s video shop i could disagree more . watched Wolf of wall street and the hobbit on netflix and they are very recent films. i couldn't be without netflix now . |

I cancelled it a while back and haven't missed it. Having said that, I've watched everything I've really wanted to watch on it - Breaking Bad, a few movies. I'm not someone who will sit and watch TV all night every night, so it suits me to use these on demand services as and when I want them, rather than just remaining permanently subscribed. That's why I have bought a NowTV box to compliment my fairly basic Virgin Media TiVo subscription. - access to the odd movie on Sky Store as well as Sky Sports day pass when I really want to watch something rather than paying every month.

My favourite thing to do on Netflix is watch the movies I haven't heard of (basically all the movies on Netflix lol) I've watched so many films on Netflix I've never seen before and really enjoyed them.
Also for me there's so many TV shows I have watched and still need to watch, also I see they've added all 10 seasons of Stargate SG1 which is one of my favourite tv shows of all time. I keep telling myself I will cancel when I've seen all the things I want to, but it's taking longer then I thought. |

My sister has Netflix and has let me use her account on my Samsung smart TV and I have found there choice of films to be good and it has a lot more choice of films then the BT film/TV box set bolt on that I also have with BT.
Some films that are part of the Netflix month fee you have to pay extra for on BT box office. Although I have not fully used my sisters Netflix account as yet in my view I don't fully agree with the OP for the reasons I have said. I not one for sitting and watching a film every night but I do like to watch maybe a few films a month. Also once in a while I got to be in the mood to watch a film. Darren |
