Whatever happens, please KEEP Sienna at all costs! She is far too brilliant a character to lose and would be a big loss to the show. I don't want Finn or Patrick killed off as they need to suffer for their crimes and death would be the easy way out and a cop out imo. Lindsey is also a character that needs to stay and be utilised more as Sophie Austin, like Anna Passey is a brilliant actress. Would love to see her and Joe's backstory explored more(how they met,etc) It would be a shame to lose Sinead as she's a great character and the actress has been fantastic during the Katy storyline.The Lomaxes should be safe too. Mercedes also definitely needs to stay, she is fantastic. I wouldn't object to Sonny,Jason or the twins dad leaving. I don't mind them but I don't feel they'd be a loss to the show.
Every other character has a place on the show imo. The Roscoe brothers need to get some good material though. This Robbie/Nancy thing needs to be dropped(the flirting) and I hope it's not leading anywhere. Ziggy is a good light hearted character and provides some humour. Freddie needs an individual storyline that preferably doesn't involve Lindsey/Sinead/Grace/gangster stuff. Same for Joe - maybe his past could be explored. It was hinted he had a a bit of a shady past when he was first introduced. Regards Jason, my opinion on his potential as a character may well change depending on how the body dysmorphia storyline plays out

Lol. This threads funny. They only did the bus crash in 2012 and then Clare's bomb last year hardly an annual event.

The bus crash was basically away of getting rid of the students and last year was for its birthday.

I also think Teegan Lomax. Someone else mentioned (can't remember if it's this thread or another one) that with Leela telling Perri about her real parentage, and with Danny kicked out of the house, it would leave Sam redundant. But I don't see Sam leaving yet. On the other hand, I could see BK killing off Teegan and Sam raising Rose, as a quick and dirty replacement for Perri (Sam and Danny get back together and raise their daughter's daughter as their daughter, and Leela has no say because it's not her daughter this time).

eh, no. They do one every year around October/November. like the dog explosion, stunt week, the fire that killed Steph and that other fire on Halloween that Tom started before he ran away.

The cast cull doesn't necesarily need to be a big event but in 2006 they had the fire and swept out 5 cast members and another 10 or so surrounding it. In 2007 it was all BK's new cast so they stayed same with 2008. In 2010 33 cast left within six months, either in black cabs or linke to the fire story.

No cull in 2011 again as all the cast had joined within a year.

2012 - 2013 another 30 odd cast removed from the show so I doubt many will go this year because again they all joined last year. The only spare parts are George and Phoebe everyone else is pretty active.
