I havent seen an appreciation thread for IMO the best girlband to come from the UK....The sheer talents of all four lineups is immense...technically a 6 member band across 7 albums... Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan, Heidi, Amelle and Jade...

So yeah here is a thread to discuss fave albums, songs, and hope and pray MKS make their album happen soon "Flatline" was my song of summer 2013! Come on girls!

Also solo careers, Siobhan i am JUSt getting into her "ghosts" album...very Madonna/Massive Attack/Bjork influenced Electronica/Electropop sounds and got it oredered cheaply beautiful piece of work.

Favourite albums...it is a toughie as pretty much (even the highly slammed Sweet 7 album) have been top standard.

I adore their merging of Urban grooves/Alternative Rock sounds meets Dance Pop/Synth styles across their albums and of course a whole lot of Soul and Punky vibes.

One Touch
Angels With Dirty Faces
Three
Taller In More Ways
Change
Catfights & Spotlights
Sweet 7

Great thread Josh, absolutely love Sugababes in all forms, they were my childhood group, as soon as I hear Hole in the Head I was hooked.
Such a great discography, my favourites are probably Three, Taller in More Ways and Change.
But I loved the motown vibes of Catfights and the urban/dance-pop of Sweet 7.
Favourite singles are probably Ugly, Stronger, Red Dress, Overload, Freak and About a Girl.
My favourite babe is probably Amelle, love her rich, dusky tone of voice and her bubbly personality.
Praying for the MKS album soon, I heard a rumour that they're trying to reclaim the Sugababes name before they bring out anything else.
Ooh, also, I adored Freedom and find it sad that album 8 never materialised as we know it was completed, I wish they'd just slap it on itunes for the fans but alas it'll probably never happen.
And yes, I also love Ghosts, one of my favourite albums, truly an artistic treasure.

Favourite Album Tracks:
Every Heart Broken
3 spoons of Suga'
My Love Is Pink

(Only had albums 5 and 6 tbh, as well as Overload singles collection)

Thanks guys yeah this week i think is Sugababe week here just all of a sudden right back into them again

Yeah grew up with them...when they were a part of the Powerpuff girl Movie soundtrack with AWDF i was like AAAAAAH hehe i was about 10 at the time but still adore that show/film and all....epic!

Interesting selections and choices there guys...i loved that they worked with Dallas Austin a lot he is a brill producer and a pre-girls aloud Xenomania too....tbh i think their later three albums oft get overlooked for some reason...Catfights & Spotlights i think has the edge as the best album by Sugababes 3.0 for me the Soul/Electropop/Funk/Motown call backs are so unique across that disc . Sugababes 2.0 i think is my fave incarnation of the band...tough to pick Angels With Dirty Faces maybe....but then again Taller in More Ways holds a lot of memories for me too and was the first album i directly bought right away .

Oh and thats interesting about MKS....hmmm they could revert back to Sugababes 1.0 seeing as they started it off 14 years ago! It would work hard to believe they were 15 back then....crazy but a great debut album nontheless.

But i really ADORE Flatlines so much love the Blood Orange production and the lyrics and their voices just hope it makes the album cut and they release it soon this year...I have no idea why it is taking so long this summer would be perfect! re-bran and promote themselves as if they were a fresh band would be brilliant.

Siobhan has always been my favourite. I adore her voice, such a beautiful tone. I have both her solo albums and all her singles on CD. I love MKS, saw them live in Bristol last year. They were brilliant. It's so frustrating though, this endless wait for them to release an album, it's gone beyond ridiculous! I also like Sugababes 2.0. They released a lot of great tracks. Mutya has a terrific voice and after she left the group they lost a lot of appeal for me. Apart from the catchy About You Now and Easy I haven't been very keen on much of 3.0.'s stuff and 4.0.'s music I just found so bland and generic. Not my cup of tea at all. It's always been about 1.0. and 2.0. for me. The best blends of voices, unique sound with the best songs. With Siobhan, Mutya, Keisha and Heidi they have instantly recognisable voices, which I love. They have a unique sound that made/makes them stand out from the crowd, unlike the generic sounding 4.0.

Yeah I think my fave is 2.0 as i have connection with them perhaps growing up but i adore all 4 incarnations for differet reasons .

but i agree about voice blends...took me a while to adjust to 3.0 for some reason i didnt buy Change or Catfights and Spotlights until much later but they are very good albums overall

I think my fave member has to be Keisha for me...though i do love Mutyas vocie and style...Siobhan and Heidi i think have a similar tone i like...very soft <3 and Siobhan has proven strong enough for her solo material....adore the sounds of "ghosts" as i say its very Madonna meets Massive Attack meets Bjork in vibe very Electronica and ambient and cool <3

So cannot wait for MKS <3 yeah i agree way way beyond a joke whats going on Flatlines NEEDED promo and radio airplay and backup..i mean they are 29/30 between them.....they still can access and rebrand and make it work why they didnt is beyond me! should have been released already i just wonder if they will become Sugababes and the other three if they comeback will be HAJ or JAH or something?

Whether they get the name back or not I don't think it will work, Sugababes for most people was the perfect blend of Mutya, Keisha and Heidi, most people don't remember Siobhan tbh.

I wish we could have had Sweet 7 with Keisha in full, I know the 6 track album sampler leaked which was nice to hear but I wish I could have heard the rest of the songs, Little Miss Perfect with Keisha would have been amazing to hear.

Both of Siobhan's albums are amazing. Without a doubt, the most talented out of the lot.

I love Sugababes! 2.0 is my favourite lineup. They released some great songs. I might be in a minority here but I liked the few songs 4.0 put out. I thought they had some potential and could've gone far with the right music, but I think their reputation was ruined. As for albums, I've got Angels With Dirty Faces, Change, Catfights and Spotlights, Sweet 7 and Overloaded: The Singles Collection. AWDF is my favourite out of those. I might be in a minority here but I hated Catfights and Spotlights. It was a bit boring IMO.

Lol, my 3 favourite Sugababes albums are the 3 you don't have - One Touch, Three and Taller In More Ways (the original Mutya version). All amazing albums, imo.

I think the signature lineup will always be 2.0....ut Siobhan is a talent an i truly hope it works...i mean people KNOW Mutya and Keisha anyway so on that it should work with rebranding and getting cool music like FLatlines out there....i was looking around and they were interviewed in a magazine only a few weeks back sayin that the album is completed they are just waiting for the label to release...rumours have it the next singl will be released in August hmmm...watch this space.

I think that the first four albums were a non stop run of just truly top standard albums...in general....the blend of MKS and MKH really did work so well across the 4 albums...Taller In More Ways i have so many memories with (the Mutya original that is) ...but adore all 4...Changes i think a very mixed but well rounded album but i do prefer Catfights & Spotlighs IMO i adore the Neo-Soul meets Synth blend across the album and the fact Max martin/Khlas Ahlund (Britney/Robyn fame) pened with them makes it all the more better IMO.

Sweet 7 is a decent album and feel could have been 3.0s best work had Keisha stayed on but Jades inclusion kinda felt awry....album 8 could have been better but alas they pulled out after Freedom :-/

"ghosts" arrived yesterday...so beautiful i love the Indie Pop vibe...shame Siobhan didnt have more commercial attention for it the way Mtya did for her solo material that year...some truly stellar songs.

'One Touch' and 'Taller In More Ways' are two amazing albums!

I love 'Caught In The Moment', it's one of my all time favourite Sugarbabe tracks though

I was a massive Sugababes fan and saw them 3 times (1 as 2.0 and 2 as 3.0), line ups 1 & 2 were the best IMO and I am a huge fan of Siobhan's solo work, Ghosts is my all time favourite album.

I loved Flatline and am looking forward to hearing the MKS album (if we ever hear it) but the best outcome for me would have been a 2.0 reunion purely so Siobhan could have released more solo stuff, so we would have had the Sugababes AND Siobhan- best of both worlds!

Their 1st 4 albums were very good but for me, Change ended their run of solid pop albums (even though there are still a few good songs on there) I didn't mind 3.0, Catfights is a very good album. Sweet 7 was ok, never really bought in to Jade as a member though (nothing against her, she has a fantastic voice), I think they should have split as 3.0, perhaps releasing About a Girl with a video that doesn't feature the girls (a la Spice girls- Viva Forever) and the album and then called it a day....They could have probably released the album on the back of the Get Sexy promotion meaning that the 3 of them didn't have to appear altogether if they really couldn't work together.

Their albums in order of preference:

Three
One Touch
Taller in More Ways
Catfights and Spotlights
Angels with Dirty Faces
Sweet 7
Change
(The top five change around depending on my mood)

I do kinda agree that Sweet 7 should have been released Oct/Nov 2009 really right off the back of "get sexy" and "about a girl" as the Kill Bill/Charlies Angels style video with actresses would have been better i feel....but there we go.

And then therefore the original audios pre-Jade recordings would have been on there in full but alas...wasnt meant to be and they continued into 2010 and it (to put politely) bombed when it could have been release prior o any controversies hitting the headlines.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Sweet 7 Keisha will leak in full one day, I'd like them to put it on itunes legally but I doubt that'll happen tbh.

I have tbh I've kind of lost interest now, it's been too long and I'm sick of waiting. Not to mention I truly do not see 1.0 as the Sugababes, they can get the name back, they can perform the hits, but I'm sorry, I see Amelle as more of a babe than Siobhan, don't get me confused though, Siobhan is AMAZINGLY talented, and I think completely wasted in a girl group, she should be a solo artist. I'll still get the album if it ever comes out because I'm sure it'll be good plus I'll love to hear Mutya and Keisha sing together again, but I'm sorry, unless that third name changes to Heidi they will never be the Sugababes in my eyes.
But of course they might not try to get the name back but that is the popular theory right now. I try to see them as MKS, but every interview it gets bought up, they even bring it up all the time themselves, it's difficult to forget.

Are Mutya Keisha Siobhan EVER going to release any new music?! I keep hoping and waiting and trying to be optimistic but the longer it goes on, without a single word from them, the more sceptical I become. It's nearly a year since Flatline, for heaven's sake! No second single, no album!, nothing Even if they are changing their name or recording more new music for the album or something, you'd think they would let us know SOMETHING!!!

Been blasting "Three" today, such a good album, in fact, fun fact, it was the first ever album I bought myself, I still treasure this album for that reason and that it contains some great Suga tracks like HITH, Whatever Makes You Happy, Buster, Conversation's Over, Too Lost In You and Nasty Ghetto.
