Brazilian fans know their stuff. Judging by their boos they agree with me. Seems I know my stuff after all.

I get what you're saying and maybe it's just me but I would rather have my most prolific striker in the box awaiting free-kicks rather than be the one taking them. Fair enough they are the ones to take them when its a crack at goal but not when the ball is 40+ yards away.
I know what you mean but it's too black and white having your best striker in the box for a long distance free kick

At that distance if your not having a crack at goal then you are generally going for a decent delivery to one of your players, which again, Suarez is arguably the best at in the squad hence why he takes them

I said both teams are crap.
Glad someone is enjoying this manure though.
Of course you did, because you haven't got a clue when it comes to football but sadly that's what these forums come to during the World Cup or any other big sporting tournament, random people strolling in with no clue talking nonsense.

Italy will be delighted with the way this has gone so far, they are doing exactly what is needed to qualify.

Down to Uruguay to up the tempo as they are the ones in need of the win.

Such a shame there is no outlet for professional pundits like you to show off their vast knowledge. I shall organise an online petition for you, it's a scandal.

Twice now Uruguay have tried scoring from their own half, against Buffon of all keepers

Appreciate it.

Probably best you stroll off back to the Big Brother forum.

Now that's why Luis Suarez takes Uruguay's free kicks - excellent ball in.

Half time; dreadfully dull half but that suits Italy right down to the ground.

They haven't shown much willingness to come out but by the same token they've been disciplined in defence and completely snuffed out Suarez and Cavani.

In fact, pretty much the only thing Uruguay have done in that first half has been to commit fouls.

I'll give you that one.

Pretty comfortable for Italy so far. The Uruguayan manager needs to remind his team they need to win here.

Just toss a coin at half time to settle it. Would be far more entertaining

About 10 minutes of adverts in the fifteen minutes of half time...

Balotelli off, Parolo on.

This match so needs a Uruguay goal to lift it above the level of mediocrity we're currently seeing.

They're making it so easy for Italy. The Azzurri will be happy to play like this all day long. At some point Uruguay will have to take risks.

Was that the chance for Uruguay?

Lovely ball over the top from Suarez.

Better from Uruguay but a poor finish.

Red card Italy!

Marchisio off and nobody quite knows why at the moment.

Studs up tackle almost on the knee, fair enough.

If that red card isn't incentive enough for Uruguay then nothing will be.
