Nexus 4 - anyone had problems with their earphone socket?
Over the past few weeks, when I insert my earphones into my Nexus 4, they tend to pop out of the socket. I need to bend it slightly and push it in at a certain angle. It isn't the earphones as they work fine in my iPad and laptop at work. I presume it is something to do with the internal connector bit.
Any suggestions on how it can be remedied? Thanks. |

I have a Nexus 4 and no problems for me, however, after googling the people who reported the same problem had stuff ranging from fluff to biscuit crumbs (!) in the bottom of the socket preventing the jack from 'locking' in.
The advice was have a root around with a wooden cocktail stick and see what comes out

I had this exact problem, I poked a pin and rummaged around inside the socket and managed to take out a lot of pocket fluff. Headphones worked perfectly afterwards
