I can't believe people are even defending Suarez, he's done this for a THIRD time. It takes a lot to ****ing bite someone. Even after he was in a good place; amazing season with Liverpool, winning awards golore, patching up his reputation and being Uruguay's star man. He still bites someone. He's totally unhinged.

South American football would be a big culture shock for the average EPL fan. I'm not excusing his behaviour, more having a go at the uncultured English media who are acting like he's chopped someone's head of.

Uncultured media?

Suarez has now bitten three players. This is serious.

It might well be, but Suarez has been in Europe for 8 years now, since he was 19. He's not someone who's just come off the boat and doesn't know better.

And, as I've said - the story is playing right round the planet, not just in the English media.

They are not behaving like he has chopped someone's head off. They are reacting to something that shouldn't happen.
Just because bad behaviour happens in South American football doesn't make it justifiable to the other 20 odd teams that are not from there.
Sounds like their club football is out of control.

If Suarez can't control himself to suit the occasion, he is a moron as well.

The biting (again) by the Shrek donkey was bad enough but to go down straight after like he'd been punched in the face was the ultimate piss take.

Considering the kind of money at stake over any potential transfer for Suarez, there's zero chance they'll just sack him.

If he's banned from all international football for X amount of years, I suspect Brendan Rodgers will secretly be elated while obviously publicly condemning him.

I bet he's turned his phone off tonight

I bet Brendan's relieved he didn't agree to be a pundit in Brazil for the World Cup. Can you imagine if he was in someone's studio covering the Uruguay game, how awkward.

That is the only explanation - as you say after his last biting he has somehow managed to get back in people's good books and then he goes and does it again -crazy !!!

In what world do you live in where biting an opponent (on three occasions) in sport is acceptable?

Probably the one where you think that being racist in sport (again, Suarez) is also acceptable?

Ban him completely. He should have been banned completely already ... the second time he bit someone.

I wonder what betting odds you'd have got for Suarez biting someone in the world cup?

In Nigeria a person won £5200 for betting on Suarez biting someone, the odds were 175/1 Those odds are better than Costa Rica winning their 3 group games, they were 600/1.

So do players regularly get bitten in the Uruguayan league , it's a common occurrence ? How often does it happen when you're watching it and are there a few dozen online I could watch ? Not kicking, elbowing or even punching actual bites.

It's the worldwide media because I think he's the first to bite someone at a world cup , it's pretty big news. People are still talking Schumacher nearly chopping battiston in half over 20 years ago although that may be common in the bundesliga although I don't think so.

Looking above, some people have had a tasty result. How bizarre that a Norwegian guy would bet on Suarez going postal again.

The man is not right in the head, three times he has now bitten a fellow player, he is a great player but a complete and utter nutter.

They'll probably say this is an affectionate greeting in Uruguay.

Be prepared for the supportive T-Shirts, already being printed on Merseyside.

Bookmakers sometimes offer odds on some silly things, kind of as a joke and not really expecting it to happen. They might get some publicity out of it in the press and I'm guessing that's what happened there.

I don't know if they were offering odds on a Suarez bite, but Paddy Power are quite well known for doing that kind of thing over here.
