Why is everybody surprised about the amount of coverage this is getting in the British press compared to other countries. He plays fir a British club and has done it before in Britain. Of course it will get more press there. Even with that other countries are covering it too. It got the same amount of coverage the last time and was nothing to do with the World Cup but to do with the fact that people were disgusted with what he had done.

Suarez is a wonderfully talented footballer outside the top 2 arguably the best around but his onfield behaviour is , I'm afraid , often unacceptable . This is not a one off , we've had racist abuse of a fellow professional , refusing to shake the hand of that very same player , 3 desperate biting incidents & far less seriously abuse to the crowd, feigning injury & the repeated foul of raking an opponents Achilles . I can't help but think the constant excuse making & 'Black Knight from Monty Python' blind delusional defence has created this exact situation where nobody seems to have sought to tackle the obvious problem . I find myself shaking my Head this is the third time he's BITTEN somebody , what happens if a dog bites somebody multiple times ? Once , however unpleasant , could perhaps be argued as a one off but repeatedly surely that can't be defended or explained ?”

If you think that biting is acceptable and nobody 'gives a sh!t', then it just shows how low the world of football has sunk. The amount of shirt-pulling, arm-grabbing and on-pitch wrestling and abuse is already a disgrace, but actually biting someone is in a whole new league.
I'm not a football fan and I certainly don't support any particular team, but this Suarez guy should be banned outright.
I personally think a life time ban is called for, this is his third time, how many more chances is he going to get. Until football starts handing out decent bans and suspensions it's just not going to improve.
I'm pretty sure if I decided to make a habit (and it is) of biting people in my local High Street I'd be sectioned. The man needs a lengthy ban and psychiatric treatment.

He's been given a 7 match ban and a 10 match ban they're not trivial bans he also got an 8 match ban for racism & a much less relevant 1 game ban for gesturing to the Fulham crowd . That's 26 games in the last few years and it seems to have made not the slightest bit of difference to him .

I live in England, and I couldn't give a toss about him knocking them out of the World Cup. What I do care about is a violent individual having now bitten an opponent on three separate occasions. He should not be allowed back on a football pitch until he has served a meaningful punishment, and/or received treatment for his issues.
I do find it funny that Liverpool fans like to hold themselves up as being so much better than everyone else, whilst they have people like you desperately defending Suarez, purely because he's so important to your team.
The man bites someone in a World Cup match, broadcast across the world, and the best you can come up with is "no-one cares except the English press". Pathetic.

There's something animalistic in the bite that generates more outrage for sure.
However if Song kept on doing that sort of elbow repeatedly it would be a major story and he'd be facing a longer ban than 3 matches.

Wasn't the elbow after he'd been bitten ? Certainly I'd have done a lot more if he'd bitten me on the pitch . Even if it wasn't in retaliation an elbow is used to gain leverage despite being a viscous foul so it's a foul that's an extension of what happens like av over the top tackle or leaving your foot in . They aren't right at all but a bite is just so alien to anybody on a football field , well anyone but Suarez .

Suarez must have learnt to bite opponents when he's frustrated when he was a little kid. Having teeth like that no doubt encourages his toddler like response to frustration (where I come from we say he could eat cheese through a tennis racket).
In my view he tried to get Chiellini to overreact to get a pen or another red, much like his service to Uruguay against Ghana with the handball. He will do anything to win and doesn't understand what's wrong with that. The support he gets from the Uruguay manager and supporters, and some Liverpool supporters, is not going to make him stop doing it. He'll do it again, just a question of when.

If a Greek player had done it, it presumably would have been a first offence.
That fact that Suarez has done this 3 times is what is so unhinged. The England angle is irrelevant.

ya fact he scored vs england and plays for high profile team(thus rival fans want to throw boot in) is reason its such big news.
