That's the distinction. Biting is very base, animal behaviour. When humans bite, like animals they intend to injure and tear through flesh.
Yes what Suarez did was vile and nasty and as a Liverpool fan im very angry because he is a fantastic player. The fact is he's not gonna be banned for life and Uruguay should not be thrown out like some have said when they were reading out messages on tv.

Based on Chelsea sacking Mutu it may actually be in their benefit to sack him IF they could prove breach of contract. Seeing as there is probably some kind off morality clause especially with his history this may be possible.
In Mutu's case he was orders to pay €17m in damages to Chelsea and then both Liverno and Juve were found liable for damages too which between them equaled £17mill.
Same with Mikel where he was found in breach of contract and his original club were forced to repay the money to Man Utd, Mikel had to pay compensation and Chelsea also had to pay a United £12mill in compensation.
Certainly a better situation for Liverpool financially imho than if he has to sit out a ban at Liverpool

Suarez is a a footballer who you could argue is worth around £60-80m . even if banned from all football for a year , which I personally don't see happening , he's still going to fetch a fee that even at the unlikely value of half his current price is a huge deal. It will never happen but Liverpool would be absolutely crazy to do it.
I think there is something seriously wrong with him. Even his wife has said why do you do that after his last biting incident. He sought counselling but clearly he needs to get a better counsellor. The problem Liverpool have is he was our best player by a mile last year and if they sell then it will be for big money. I suppose this takes the spotlight off England's disastrous world cup.
According to a report on Sky News from one of their journos at the WC; 'pictures of the incident are being shown on a loop on Brazilian TV'

This is not a one off , we've had racist abuse of a fellow professional , refusing to shake the hand of that very same player , 3 desperate biting incidents & far less seriously abuse to the crowd, feigning injury & the repeated foul of raking an opponents Achilles . I can't help but think the constant excuse making & 'Black Knight from Monty Python' blind delusional defence has created this exact situation where nobody seems to have sought to tackle the obvious problem . I find myself shaking my Head this is the third time he's BITTEN somebody , what happens if a dog bites somebody multiple times ? It's because he has previous. It's at the world cup. He plays for Liverpool. Not only one of the biggest clubs in England but in the world.
Plenty of other media outlets around the world are covering it. And you can't compare them all to our tabloids who have a certain reputation and style of reporting.
The thing with biting as opposed to elbowing, punching or kicking someone is that, whilst unacceptable behaviour, those are much more instinctive reactions than sinking your teeth into another person.
Whilst in the heat of the moment in a tense atmosphere like that was, I can understand sticking an elbow out or lashing out under provocation and in the heat of the moment, to do something as unnatural as bite someone requires you to actually think about doing that, then take the decision to do it and then sink your teeth into someone. It isn't something you instinctively do, it has to be a pre-meditated action, and whilst it perhaps does less damage than outright striking somebody, it's a dirty, and unprovoked behaviour that is not normal in any walk of life.
Take into account that this appears to be unprovoked, and it is Suarez's third offence, extreme action has to be taken. If a seven game ban, and then a ten game ban clearly wasn't enough, then something like a six month ban from all football, plus the promise of a lifetime ban if he does it again, is probably going to be the only way to stop it. Maybe force them to undergo psychiatric help as well, because he clearly looks like he needs it.
A final point on this supposed agenda against him by the English media, would these be the same journalists that fairly overwhelmingly voted him Football Writers' Player of the Year last season? Definite hallmark of a grudge right there, funny how he/anyone else from Uruguay haven't pointed that one out...

It's got nothing to do with England. This is entirely the fault of the fault of Suarez and his inability to control his behaviour. He should be banned for a long, long time for this.

That's what the "Move along, nothing to see here" Liverpool fans are claiming, but it's a fact that this story has been news around the planet, and front page in all the football playing countries, including those not at the WC.
It's nothing to do with the fact that dire England are out, which means nothing to many countries, but that a player who would be in a World XI alongside Messi is an absolute nutter.
Listening to him talking about it. I don't think he realises he's done anything wrong. Its just what happens on the field. Him getting hit In the face and I assume he's talking about the biting as well. Its obviously something he's grown up with so doesn't see what the problem is. Would have thought the first 2 bans would be enough to show him its not acceptable but obviously not.

Let's hope he gets the ban he deserves. I do in fact feel sorry for the Liverpool fans (not the club, who knew what they were buying), but it has to be a total ban in my eyes.
