Suarez looked like he'd got most of his fitness back as well. Could have done some real damage in this tournament. Oh well!

I thought that when he bit Ivanovic, a very steady uncomplaining soul who was just gobsmacked to be bitten. If' he'd bitten Terry instead he'd have probably ended up with no teeth and have caught something as well.

Imagine just how bad the reaction would have been if Suarez had done this against England.

And the 3 bites are the ones we know about. He probably started it when he was a toddler (some do in their tantrumming) and no one dealt with it.
![]() In fact he could give Christopher Lee a run for his money. Its so surreal its funny. |

That's fine - it works ok - Terry gets bitten, headbutts the teeth out of Suarez. Both in trouble - you happy.

Like I've said elsewhere, massive PR win for England today (and tomorow). More people are talking about Suarez then England's plane getting ready for takeoff.

I doubt that FIFA will ban him at this competition, they'll drag their feet.
No one here can possibly defend this animal, as it is crystal clear that he bit the Italian and if it was up to me he would be out of international football for at least 3 yrs. |

Brilliant footballer but obviously completely mental.
I expect FIFA to try and downplay the whole thing, but the Italians will be having none of that. |

That wasn't a bite, leave him alone
Nothing to do with that fact that I've got a Brazil/Suarez combo at 100/1 |

It's like a viper's strike! What an idiot. The man has no emotional self-control and when the pressure is on he just reverts to type. Having not seen much of the game I'm guessing he wasn't having a good game or being very influential and a 0-0 saw Italy go through; that was enough for the mental detonators to go off. End of the World Cup for him.

The replay clearly showed him biting the Italian. |

"It was ridiculous not to send Suarez off. It is clear, clear-cut," Chiellini told Italian television station Rai TV. I think Chiellini should know, he's lucky not to be pulling teeth out of his shoulder.
"Then there was the obvious dive afterwards because he knew very well that he did something that he shouldn't have done." |

Not necessarily. I predict that Suarez will get away with it. Uruguay will argue that the video does not show Suarez biting, only contact. Where there is inconclusive intent, it can be called acci-dental (see that?) contact and he will get off. Shoulder to teeth rather than teeth to shoulder.
![]() Suarez's Freddy Mercury style teeth dominate his face..maybe they have a mind of their own? |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb8fWUUXeKM You both are joking, right? FIFA will cop out with 'inconclusive evidence'. Just you watch! |
